From the time you fill up the form, pay the installation amount , you are left to their mercy (I thought there was a group called NO MERCY.lol) You are PROMISED the line in 2 days flat. when that does not happen, you have to sta...Read more

Well Sujay agreed that the Fund managers do a lot research in order that they manage to get their nav's to show a consistent rise ,but i totall disagree with you on a fact where you say that the AMC does nothing wrong by investing in the Operator Stocks.Truly if you look at the Portfolio of the 2 f...unds i mentioned, especially of the latter ,ie.,It does not seem to excite me of a fund taking such large positions in stocks like HFCL and DSQ.True, they could have been stuck on the wrong side during the Tech boom, but the least these Fund managers could do was to atleast book losses when the downside started ,rather than being a mere spectator. As far as you claim that these fund houses go through a lot of research and whatever.,I have since the time I started tracking the markets, not seen a single analyst putting a buy on the stocks mentioned for FUNDAMENTAL reasons, the only reason why the analysts and fund managers were gung ho on the stocks was because of the overall bullish trend and even they claimed to 'Ride The Trend' Besides you have claimed that you should not categorise all fund managers based on a few ,I wish to state here that I have cited examples of just 2 fund managers .The list could go on and on.Need we remind investors of LIC Dhansamruddhi or the Taurus schemes or ING itself (Nav falling from 35 to 5)besides Birla Advantage(82 to 16)........?????????? And Yes I still feel that looking at their irresponsible descions of a majority, investors could be better advised to getinto the equity markets drectly. And yes, a clear proof or AMC's deciding to do away with the fund management activity on a very daily basis,is the fact that a number of fund houses launching Index based funds like the PE based fund from Pioneet ITI, and another fund by UTI which invests only in select stocks from the NIFTY,thereby restricting the Fund Managers to only the so called 'Blue Chip 'cos and of course a few of the counters like satyam and zee which could helRead More

A Mutual Fund is supposed to be managed by a professional person usually referred to as a Fund Manager who is supposed to think differently from the crowd.By doing this he would naturally tend to Create Wealth by investing in Quality Stocks rather than the Operator Driven Counters. However if you...Read more
