Dead on arrival part is correct. I sincerely doubt the 'immediate replacement' part. I completely agree with critic_consumer.

had exactly the same experience. After my post today they arranged a pick up by Bluedart with pick up request no 0000. I called Bluedart and they say such request no is not ever given by Bluedart.
