-> Vikaram Malhotra (Shiney Ahuja) : a lower middle class guy who has ambitions to achieve fame and money.....quite correct in his thinking and also has the guts to achieve that....but the only thing man has never won and will never either....woman....Geeta is the girl of his dreams but he also ...knows that geeta loves Siddhartha....but he thinks of it also as a business which he can win over by his 'Never say die' attitude.......that's why even after having acheived everything he is restless.....because he want one thing the most which he does not have...geeta....and that love makes him vulnerable and leads to his sad fate...... now this all was the explanaiton of characters and i think there can't be more relaistic characters then these were...... i have said much i think....i hope u take the arguments as a constructive discussionRead More

well first and foremost my opinion about HKA.....it's a cinematic masterpiece unparalleled in almost every aspect. Now let me argue on the points written by you : 1. All characters are Inconsistent : let's take 3 protagonists...one by one : -> Siddharth Tyabji (Kay Kay Me...non) : from start till end he was a guy who has been enlighetened for a better cause at a age when most of the others indulge in material affairs. His love for Chitrangda Sen was not the one in which hero dance around with heroine around the trees.....it was pure love...that's why when he saw that she will not be happy to join him in his purpose of awakening the youth.....he happily led her chose her destiny....and when she returned even after her divorce to join him in his mission he took her so naturally without any questions because questions and arguments arrive only when there is no faith in each other. And as the movie progresses Siddhartha keeps on fightings the odds againsit him put by our own system, our own people....and in the end he was broken by them....he was made to follow the path of lesser good which is true for most of the people who want to bring change. -> Geeta (Chitrangda Singh) : She is a upper middle class girl in her youth and has aspirations of leading a peaceful life, achieveing her personal goals of education , family etc which 99.9 % of the people have and she can't be blamed for that ;) ...but the twist is that she falls in love with Siddhatha and wants him to change for her....which he will not not will she..the most common problem with intellectuals..EGO along with some independent thinking..but when she marries an IAS officer and has everything she always wanted....she suddenly realises that true satisfaction is only in following ur heart, living ur dreams..as I said enlightenment...which came to Siddhartha a liitle earlier than Geeta. Throughtout her life she was in love with Sidd, it's just that realisation was little late conRead More

hey guys thanks a lot for your comments....i would like to give reasons for 2 most obvious questions on my review : 1. First and foremost as I have said in review also that I have not listed any 2 movies of same genre.....this was intentional and for this reason a lot of others may have missed ou...t....and I completely agree that Lakshya, Rangeela and Dil Se we no extraordinary flicks....but thery were different...and that's why I have listed them. 2. I could not include the all time classics of RK like Aawara or any other movie just because I have not seen them will surely catch hold of 50's & 60's cinema also very soon :)Read More
