Hi, I am Terribly sorry to hear your loss and the trauma that you underwent. I am a first time father to be and frankly every good place recommended by my friends in Bangalore is turning up with bad reviews from the community. Infact I am so scared that I am planning the delivery outside of this cit...y where people are down to reality and are sensitive. I have heard about the ignorant attitude of these specialist doctors in 5 star places. However, a docotr who doesnt listen to you and one who doesnt answer your questions (even if asked 1000 times) is a moron. The attitude of docotors towards patients is due the long list of people they consult and they often loose their sensitivity towards individuals as they meet many different types of people. Sadly, due to the growth of every thing around us (economy, quality needs and fancy of things) this has become a brutal business. I believe every one has his own expereince of good and bad, some times things are un-explainable - Your loss cannot be replaced or compensated, but a sensitive counselling session from your doctor would have helped you immensly. At least they should have provided a professional counsellor who could have talked to you if the doctor was busy and not able to address your emotional needs. Be strong and keep your head up high, nature will reward you once again. My sympathies to you and you husband.Read More

It is frightening to hear that they lost your babys blood report. Its like they see too many people and perhaps forget. I think the hospital staff lacks sensitivity to patients and is a virtue isolated to few individuals who are good and responsible in their conduct and duty. This is profession that... we have to blindly believe because it concerns our life. I am a father to be and it is getting me very worried about the quality of service at these premier institutions. Thanks for the review.Read More

yes, doctor consultation charges depends upon the room that you rent as is higher for premum rooms. Even if you are suffering from the same disease and recently got upgraded from General Ward to room. The major issue is that hospitals never tell you the hidden costs of small things that suprise you ...when the final bill is footed. In the case of Child birth or any medical procedure, once you are in the hospital you cant really negotiate the charges and have to succum to it. The HIgh court had ordered all GPs to display their charges upfront to all customer, I hope there is a legislation to do the same for Hospitals and service tax and such thigns are mentioned to the patient so that he knows what he is upagainst. The biggest complaint about this hospital is the billing issues that get inflated by upto 50% and callous staff. Seemingly the consultants and the doctors practicing here are good and expereinced which is a relief.Read More

Mr Whisky37, A hospital charging premium and under paying its staff is an un-ethical practice ? .. Dont you feel that this is why patients have to bear the rude attitude ? as they come with small and big ailments and to an otherwise peacefull day of a nurse if there is some one moaning into your ear...s, the treatment will be metted out in the same way. Best Doctors, practice in premium hospitals - face it that they demand more remuneration for their expertise, to keep up their payouts, hospitals have to charge patients the premium. All staf other than doctors are thus hired at a cheaper cost. This profession is such that on ehas no choice but to blindly believe at first sight or believe it from another persons mouth. We have the choice and I am sure this hospital also has several good points and there may be lot of patients who had happy experiences. I am soon going to be a father an the reviews on the nursing home is not positive. I am kind of still analysing what is the truth.Read More

HI it is indeed very frightening to read such review and being a member of this portal, I cant ignore the customer experience. I can see more negative ratings than positive about this hospital. As a patient, we have to beleive what the doctors tell us. But doctors (who are consultants with Manipal) ...will blame the general administration for it and General administration will say Doctors didnt tell us to do certain things. Either will not take responsibility for your well being. Every Doctor cant put his own nursing home and hence has to give hospitals business from patients like us. And since hospitals work on a mass business model, they tend to give every one the same standard treatment at a premium price. A couple friend of mine also delivered their first born in Manipal and when they new she was covered under medical insurance, put her in a premium room and it cost her also around Rs 75000/- which was estimated Rs 50000/- on any investigation about chanrges, they tend to question you if you baby's life is greater than money spent. Very Un-ethical at times. I am a father to be in 7 months and I am very scared of approaching big institutions. However the review was helpful.Read More

Although the BIAL is a good effort by the government and a 100 fold improvement over the old airport we are decades behind serveral things for passenger comfort at the airport. For a less frequent traveller, it is exciting to see all this facility, but for frequent flyers like me and several others ...it is lack lusture. I have travelled to Middle eastern and African countries. Even an Adis Ababa Airport (Ethiopia) is much more sophisticated thal BIAL in several things. Most impressive in international airports is how security is handled, they have waiting lounges the size of malls and security gates by the dozens all converging to one centralized hall which is like a living space rather than an air - conditioned bus terminal. At BIAL last August despite all this ho hum I waited 25 minutes early morning in the security queue after immigration to board a flight to Hong Kong as there were only two CRPF guards in the allocated 4 gates for security check and one scanner was switched off. I could have spent that time shopping or having a beer at the Kingfisher sports bar. It is not for IT CZARs that an airport is built never the less, the government has responsibility to put infrastructure in place to promote industry growth rather than wait until it explodes and then put some thing that falls short. Never the less, I welcome the new airport as it is over whelming to walk into some thing that huge.Read More

The airport authorities have to evict the private cab wallas who still fleece passengers in the open. The BIAL authorities told that only MERU and Easy cab will be allowed to operate form the airport, but recently my Brother In law who landed was approached by an agent of Akbar travel claiming that ...they are the authorized airport cab service and guided him to a totyota innova. The meru cab costs Rs 850/- from the airport to HSR layout, Akbar travels charged him Rs 1300/- tell him that he had hired a premium car service after reaching our place.Read More

Franchisees are responsible for degrading the quality of service. Today any one with an investment capital of Rs 7 lacs can set up a franchisee of any US brand. Issue is with the people owning these franchisee, who are not educated in customer service and have no clue what a service can mean to a cu...stomer. Uneducated people are attempting to get into the franchises business today in Bangalore and this is affecting the brand value indirectly. I have decided to write to SUBWAY HQ and raise this as an issue.Read More

Banks know that they have to handle sheer volumes of work daily, the people incharge of clearing files, only are bothered about couting numbers of application that have to leave their desks, They dont bother to see if the application is filed properly and if there is a genuine problem with the syste...m that they follow. What I learnt from one senior banker, is that Banks acceptedly, let go of 8% of their applications as they dont have time to rectify these issues as it cost them much more than the processing fee and, DSA and DSTs dont agree to making a second visit to the customer with out getting paid for it either as document collection is out sourced, call it lethargy but thats how the system works. Also the legal team of banks does not want to communicate with other banks as its a long drawn process to get such information from them on a case basis. Hence why CIBIL was instituted, I would like to see the financial information of the President, Prime Minister, RBI Chairman, or Finance Minister getting screwed up like this and they being rejected for a critical loan that would change their history & geography.. These idiots will never learn.Read More
