i agree with u fully. i'd written a review somne time back on them based on my personal experience. i expected them to close shop after some time like many others in the field. but surprisingly they are still going strong. it shows that reviews like this are needed to make people aware.

i am not at all surprised to read your comments. but i think you missed the main reason for such poor service. all these phoren and pvt banks in india are hyped much more than they deserve. as a result the employees move around with large chips on their shoulders.
from my experience i can say tha...t corporation bank provides excellent service which probably any of these much hyped banks can't even dream of.

this is to share one of my friend's experience with karrox. this has happened a couple of years back at their ghatkopar centre. at that time this place claimed to have a tie up with some tata group co. so my friend paid a huge sum for software training.
within 2 weeks he discovered that he knew m...ore than most of the instructors (who are mostly fresh pass outs of similar training centres with no job) let alone the lab asst. however very soon they started sjkipping classes and portions of syllebus they were supposed to cover. the instructors started changing at alarming level. my friend with some other students called up the tata group co. to register their complaint to find out that they have long back cancelled the agreement which karrox was advertising!
very soon they changed the name of the place and came up with the new name of karrox with an ad blitz which has tricked many students like you .

though i appreciate the fact that all of us are 'addicted' to some newspaper or the other and don't like any other paper as much as that, i regret to state that your piece is not at all objective.
i do not know about how the english was in 1975, but today if you ask some youngstar to ...learn english by reading toi, you are definitely doing a great harm. if you need some examples, you may go thru' my review on toi.
the question of semi nudes is not related to whether children will get access to it or not. everything has its own place and time. the front page main photograph is not the place for it.
regarding money making - well all of us are here to make money. the question is how.
and most importantly don't pretend to be something what you are not. if you want to be fun magazine for people with grey matters weighing less than feather, that's your choice but don't give us the story of a newspaper dedicated to the society.Read More

it is really good to see someone still reading a classic like this and liking it too much. i read it quite early in my life and was fascinated by the way it described the coming revolution, the socio-economic condition of masses and most importantly the awakening of souls.

i fully agree with you that pin-ups are not a bad idea. in fact even after being so sure about better quality of indian express, probably that is the reason why i still continue with toi. if done tastefully that can definitely improve the aesthetic appeal.

i hope you have joined the ever growing number of persons who felt cheated by the difference between the services promised and delivered. for the benfit of others i'll tell one more experience.
in case you deposit cash in an atm centre (not in the premises of the branch you maintain... your account with), for mumbai it takes 3 days to get the amount into your account. just imagine - they take 3 days to give you effect of CASH and enjoys the float themselves. on a national scale, this is nothing but day light robbery.Read More

have u read the article 'famous indian born in bangladesh' on 29/4 sunday times?
it never occured to those jokers that all the personalities mentioned were born before 1947 in places ...which were integral part of india. moreover bangladesh came into existence only in 1971 and so how can they term those people as 'born in bangladesh'
also in todays paper (1/5) there is an article where they mention mr.amartya sen as born in shantiniketan. so they contradict themselves within 2 days.
what to say? people without a sense of history are cursed to repeat the same mistakes again and again and it seems we indians have no escape.Read More

well, it was sort of expected. dear vinayis, if u'd read the thing a bit more carefully , u'd have noticed that i'd mentioned about 'et'
as an example.i do not hate sci-fi and have read a lot since childhood.
dear sbehal, you had strted with 'brilliant special effect' and that shows how right i ...am. basically those brilliant special effects had a blinding effect on your mental faculties and so u c'd not see beyond that. special effects(se) may be needed in a film but just se can not make a film. it require some amount of story, even the lousiest hindi philim' has some story behind it. and that is where i differ with u.
