Can create disaster for a person “
In my previous review on Aptech, I had clearly mentioned as to what is the problems faced by today’s students on deciding a right institute. Computer Education has been the most talked about stream in the last 4 years because opening of tremendous job opportunities and earning big bucks in US, UK & Germany. Like Aptech and NIIT many institutes started putting up their massage and fast food kind of joints all over India. Apart from suckers like Aptech and NIIT, most of the other institutes are either managed by conman’s or some one with some good money and want earn quick bucks by spoiling the students career and their parents hard earned money.
Karrox is one such institute, which has nothing to boast of and just trying to earn quick money. Karrox started some 4 years ago being one of the Prometric Centre for Microsoft Certified Exams. Though it became very popular and students started making a line up to Karrox just because they were also cheaper than Aptech or NIIT.
Infrastructure
I think so the person behind Karrox is from a nomadic tribe and a gypsy because they have tendencies to shift their premises after every 4 months. All the franchises given by Karrox always have a rift between the person handling the centre and Karrox. They give out the franchise to people who have got good some of money and like magic they want quick returns.
Curriculum
Being one of the Prometric Centre for all the major Certifications like MCSE, MCSD, SUN, ORACLE, they say its being regularly updated but my dear friends their curriculum is as old and hardly gets updated. I had went to their centre enquiring for a Complete Java course for my sister along with ASP but their curriculum didn’t had ASP and it was going to be implemented in a short time. Now this is what you call upto date curriculum.
Faculty
HA!! HA!!! Really when writing this I couldn’t stop laughing because their faculty leave the institute faster than their shifting of premises. I have not seen a faculty who has stayed there for more than a month. All these faculty are from either Aptech or NIIT who have been working their as Lab Instructor.
Bigger scam than Tehelka
Karrox has started an ECRM training, for which they have called it KITES. This is a complete joke. I have been in the Call Centre Arena since it started 2 years back in India and I have given in-house training in my company. First of all they don’t the meaning of ECRM. For them call centre training is ECRM training.
How it all started for Karrox. Karrox tied up with a Institute in Canada called the Algonquin University. Nasscom had predicted that Call Centre Industry is worth 18000 crores and these guys took the opportunity to fool millions of Indians.
Tata’s wanted to get into call centre and they tied up with HDFC who were funding this venture and it is called the TCS-HDFC call centre. Now Karrox tied up with TCS to train their employees. It was estimated that TCS was going to employ 4000people in this industry in the coming 1year. Karrox charges 25000Rs for this course of which 50% is paid by the student and the remaining 50% by TCS, if you calculate, how much Karrox is earning cool 8crores. The amount of call centre shooting up in India gave an opportunity to further spread their tentacles so started advertising, get trained in so called ECRM and get a job with a starting pay of more than 10000Rs. All bull shit, because their complete curriculum is a piece of “SHIT”
Their curriculum includes
Telephone Etiquettes(Why would you go to Karrox, I would prefer to go to British Council or to someone from the industry experience like Orange, AT&T)
North American Culture(Why would I get trained in Karrox where the Centre manager doesn’t know how to speak English)
Stress Management & Time Management( Is this ECRM training??)
Customer Care Training (Do they know the meaning of Customer Care)
Listening & Questioning Skill (Does Karrox listens to anyone)
This is not ECRM it is some personality development courses. And for that why would you spend (600$) 25000Rs. So friends don’t get into this and you will be really wasting a quite a sum of money. Call centres have their own training department and their training is more than enough. None of the Call Centre has recognised Karrox’s training, even COPC, which is the recognising body for call centre, have not even heard of Karrox.
I have been in this industry since inception, its my sincere advice, Karrox sucks big time and all their advertising gimmick is bad as them.
