I know many of you will think I am writing this review, because I am infatuated with Hrithik and I could not get him or that I am disappointed that he is married.

I will be explicit in my reviews, I will be honest, I have promised Mouthshut members.

What's the big hype about Kaho Na Pyar Hai? Bottomline, is, in my humble opinion, Kaho Na Pyar Hai was ONE OF THE WORST MOVIE RELEASED IN THE LAST 10 YEARS.

I could not think of any reasons that could justify the adulation received from the Filmfare judges. The only reason was I guess, the judges were

a) Bribed

b) Rakesh Roshan begged for his son's career

c) Rakesh Roshan played an emotional drama, after he was attacked in Bombay

d) Hrithik managed to convince judges to break the Khanism of Bollywood.

I will be more analytical in this review and justify why I think KNPH did not deserve any awards--whether you agree or not.

PLOT:

-----

This movie has a dumb plot. Girl-Boy. Infatuated with each other. Turns into a romance in Mauritius. Boy is killed. Girl is sent to New Zealand to ''relax.'' Girl finds another look-alike of Boy who has no connection with original boy. Girl boy fall in love again. What a dumb plot. In the past such stories were shunned by people as irrational and nonsensical. Why on earth does this movie have soooo many coincidence? Why on earth does this movie have good songs which have no relevance to the plot.

SONGS:

------

I think the songs have great lyrics, rendered into beautiful voice by smart singers. But the songs are in no way related to the plot. They are forced in. A common analogy would be let's say you are building a fort. Now you would want a fort to be strong and all. What if you don't make the fort strong. It's walls are weak. It's pillars are badly designed. But you use the finest Italian marbles to decorate the floors. Obviously people will say wow, what a fort. But does that serve and compensate for the deficincies in the fort?

Can it be called a strong fort. If I want to admire Italian marbles, I would go to some luxury resorts...not this proverbial fort.

The point is, those beautiful songs had no meaning. Except for the title song, rest were FORCED IN.

ACTING:

-------

Hrithik is the worst actor, I have seen in a long time in Bollywood. He looks like a girl.I am sorry if this offends you, but a guy should look like a guy. A man! If you are impressed with his girly face, time to rethink. A man should be little rough and agressive.

Hrithik looks like..ok a slender face...but he dances like a girl. Smiles like a girl...geez I would not want to see such qualities in a guy.

Does he know how to act? I think initially it's the media that hyped his profile. He can't act at all. He tries sooooo hard to deliver his dialogues, that it sounds so fake. He does'nt have a style of his own. There was noo way he could have been in Bollywood except his father. That too his father got him a break in his own venture KNPH. Talk about pushing wrong products...that's a typical Indian politician's attitude...kuch bhi ho, hamara beta raaj karega. We need more people like Shahrukh Khan who have risen on their talents and hardwork. No jack strings.

I am not at all impressed by Hrithik's slim biceps...female fan's of hrithik, do I sound like a jilted Hrithik fan? Sorry, I have never been attracted to him. In reality he does'nt have that female following, but the media programmed our minds to think like ''If you are a girl and you don't like Hrithik, you are not in tune with time...'' That's why most girls are trying to conform to the Indian Hrithik Mania.

I would rather be infatuated with/ hooked to/ drool about

some smart leader, some intelligent CEO or some down-to-earth humble, caring man!

AMEESHA PATEL:

--------------

I feel Ameesha acted sooo well in the movie. She is educated. Economics from some known university in the US. She did her job very well. But it's again daddy coming to help that killed Ameesha.

Daddy did not launch son Hrithik against an established actress becos than poor naya beta would not get any attention. So, he offered the role to Ameesha. Ameesha did not anticipate taht she would get no publicity at all!!!

Media hog daddy managed to give the full credit to son..and never did he or Hrithik even acknowledge Ameesha's acting or support. Ameesha, we are with you. We know the truth. You did well for a debut.

AWARDS:

-------

At the manipulated Filmfare awards, the father-son cartel managed to get most of the awards. Again Filmfare is a Times of India controlled publication, and so there could be no transparency. Times or Bennett can never be trusted. Hence I feel, that if you are impressed with KNPH and are trying to justify the movie by saying that it is good because it won Filmfare, than I would request you to ask yourself how open is Filmfare itself?

Indian film lovers are very Intelligent. Such hi-fi debut can last only a movie or two, not much, since KNPH was Hrithik, this review on KNPH is mostly Hrithik, everything else was hidden by the father.

Don't waste your time. I did mine. You benefit from my experience.
