As I’m sure most of you know, Bajaj has decided to drop the 200 Dts-i. And just before it goes, I’d like to remind you of what we’ve lost.

I looked at the shiny new blue pulsar lying there. It instantly lifted my heart up and I could tell that I was up for something special. It is a looker right from the front to the rear. Its simplicity mixed perfectly with exclusivity. I sat on the bike and hit the start button. It felt like the bike giggled at me before coming to life.

I got it moving. I didn’t step on it straight away. I just took it easily and it just felt perfectly normal. It was fairly quiet and it didn’t shout out about its 200cc, Oil cooled engine 18 Bhp engine. The ride was fairly comfortable for city riding. I didn’t understand what was going on. I don’t know what exactly I expected from it, but it surely wasn’t this. Soon I’d rolled it out of traffic and hit an open road.

I decided to flex the throttle there and everything just seemed to come to life. I kept revving it and after 4000 revs, the bike sort of glued itself to the ground and all the power seemed to be coming in and I just wasn’t ready for its insanity. It sounded fantastic and everything seemed to fall into place. It turned every head that I passed with that noise, and I just smiled at my self.

I just didn’t feel like shifting up till I hit the limiter, with that noise, you just feel like revving and revving. Third gear done, fourth gone and more than 6000 revs on the 5th gear and the bike just kept climbing. It didn’t want to stop at all. It just kept going and going. I reckon we did more than a hundred.

Soon I had to slow it down and I could feel my heart racing. I rolled it to a slow stop and handed the keys back over to my friend. I looked back at the bike and just smiled to myself. The smile didn’t wear off my face all day. It’s the perfect bike for people who want to look perfectly normal on the outside. Who don’t want to shout about how much they love bikes, but who like to open the throttle up every time they get a chance and just love riding a fantastic Bike.
