@Telugus - This site is for reviews. If you're writing a review, it is generally expected that you have atleast USED the product in question and are not farting around with your stupid opinions about it without even having used it.
The writer of this review clearly has never sat in a Xylo or driven... it, let alone owned one, and is just spouting his prejudices about the vehicle's looks.Read More

This is a place for writing reviews about the PUNTO, not comparisons with other cars. So why even talk about the interiors of the Figo or the Beat?

I've had an N82 for more than a year now without any problems. I also bought it from 'The Mobile Store'. So have quite a few people. You go on ranting about how you don't like the product, yet say NOTHING as to why, other than the dead pixel issue. In what other ways did it not work? Did you even tr...y contacting Nokia about this, or go to one of their service centers before writing this piece?Read More

Kindly recategorize your review as a review of Nokia dealers/customer service. You have given ZERO information whatsoever about the phone itself.

First of all- don't type in capitals. It looks extremely juvenile, and sounds like you're shouting.
Second- you are supposed to write a REVIEW here. Not list out problems. If that was your beef, you should've written a review on 'Nokia's customer service in '
A few more points-
You say that 'the ...number pad is not that good. Why did you buy the phone if you didn't like the number pad?? How is it a problem? If comfortable keys were so important why did you buy an N82?
Finally- you may have faced problems with your phone, the same is not true for others. Your bad luck you received a defective piece. Read my own review on the N82 to know what I'm talking about. So how do you justify your comments?
This review provides ZERO information on the phone itself, and only talks about customer care problems faced. Why did you even bother writing it?Read More

I absolutely detest any form of advertising other than print. Whether it's TV-where every freakin 10 minutes your program or movie gets interrupted by the same lame moronic ads targeted at the unwashed janta at 10 times the volume of the normal show- or useless online ads, blinking, flashing ban...Read more

Imagine a early 20th century world where airplanes have not been perfected, and instead everyone flies around in huge airships. This is a book set in an alternate past of enormous airships filled with the fictional gas hydrium(non explosive of course), unlike what doomed the Hindenberg. Matt Cru...Read more

Why don't you go read my other reviews? According to you, I am also a paid shill of Nokia, since I wrote a glowing review of their N82, and the same for every other product I've given positive feedback?
At least take a look at my other reviews or my profile before mudslinging- any ...one with half a brain can figure out I've been here on this site for more than 4 years, and every single one of my reviews- until now- has been met very favorably by members.
Indian service providers are never known for consistency- I had excellent coverage and service with Hutch while I was in Delhi, but in Bangalore their service is pathetic.
All the same, thank you very much for assigning a 'Not Useful' rating to my review. The positive feedback from wonderful people like you will definitely keep this site growing.

So I finally got my hands on the 60 GB version of the Zen Vision W. I ordered it off cafegadgets.com, a decent site for ordering gadgets in India. A week later I was feverishly ripping open the courier delivered package.

I don't see why you're so critical of malls. As for traditional shopping areas, even now Janpath, Sarojini, Karol Bagh etc are packed with shoppers; it's not like malls are drawing away people from these places!
Malls cater to a different set of people, that's all. Perhaps you prefer the traditio...nal bazaar kind of shopping experience, with crowds of people and bargaining over prices. Malls these days are more like places for recreation, shopping being only one of the things to do. And in the 45 degree Delhi summer, what better place to go than an airconditioned mall, as opposed to sitting at home in a powercut, or walking on the hot streets of an open air market? Of course, the malls too get crowded.
You just seem to be extremely prejudiced against people who go to malls, and 'western' culture, going by your statements. Yes, malls are places for the affluent, and yes, people who have money will show off and dress in expensive clothes? Got a problem with that?
'cant we just understand that their culture is different from ours' - of course we know it's different from ours! Who says the two cannot coexist? India has assimilated various cultures from around the world as part of its history, do you think that people who 'follow western civilization' will not or cannot at the same time continue with Indian traditions and values? I know several people who can shake a leg at a disco or visit pubs, at the same time they respect their elders and take part happily in all our traditional festivals. Why do the 2 things have to be mutually exclusive?Read More

Learn to write a decent review first. 1) You bought your phone from a non Nokia outlet- there is no telling if you got a fake/refurbished phone. 2) Firmware issues can be rectified if you take it to the authorized repair shop - did you even try??
If you just google, you can find several reviews a...bout this phone that don't dismiss it in this way.Read More

Battery life: A poor battery killed the original N95 in reviews; it ended up having to be charged every day. The N73 on the other end has a battery that puts the Energizer bunny to shame. The N82 battery strikes a good balance between the two. After a full charge, I ran GPS for about an hour, while ...listening to music at full volume and reading an ebook (ie the 16 million color display was constantly lit up, further consuming battery). Then there were phonecalls, totaling 1 hour or so. The next morning, I again was listening to music on the bus, and the phone was still at 3 bars by the time I got to work (1 hr bus ride). Not a very scientific test, but I daresay the BP-6MT @ 1050 mAh is a sufficient battery for this phone. However, like I said, beware of running GPS for too long-constant connection to the satellites does consume a lot of power. Heavy WLAN usage also drains the battery (try streaming audio for example over wifi) and the phone heats up a bit.
Conclusion: This is a top of the line phone, circa March 2008, that delivers superbly on its features and performance. Buy it if you’re going to make use of everything it has to offer, you won’t be disappointed!Read More

WLAN: The phone shows a WLAN scanning option in the standby screen for quick access. It supports WEP/WPA authenticated networks; most wifi equipment tends to use this. Unfortunately my office uses a different encryption standard- LEAP- and this is not supported by Nokia. When there’s a network avail...able, the phone autoconfigures an access point similar to the data access points that are already there. This can then be used by all data applications, be it the web browser or GPS. One interesting extra feature is uPnP support. If you have a streaming media server connected to your wifi router at home, you can stream music to/from the device. Nokia Media Server from http://www.simplecenter.net/nokia/ lets you remote control your music collection over wifi.
VOIP support: You can use it as an IP phone if there’s a wifi network nearby. A free application called Gizmo (www.gizmo5.com) lets you make VOIP calls over a wifi connection- so theoretically you could use it with a free phone service like Skype, or Gizmo itself.
Music player: This is the standard 3rd edition music player with album art support and an 8 band equalizer. It also has support for podcasts. However there’s no corresponding podcasting client on the PC, and it makes no sense to sit and download massive podcasts over GPRS unless you have an unlimited data plan (that Vodafone, curse them, don’t provide.)
