Mall or Maal(money). Review on Metropolitan Mall, Gurgaon

This is not in regard to any specific Mall but all the Mall all over India. Where have those days gone when people used to shop around in casual clothes, in sun, on a cloudy day or on a winter afternoon? It used to be all fun to shop around at Janpath, Lajpat Nagar, Sarojini Nagar or GK - it used to be shopping & munching(Gol gappa's, ice creams, momos, cold drinks, coffee, etc). While shopping we used to enjoy the weather, the nature & it gave such a good feeling of our existence cause everything was original(atmosphere). As throughout the weekdays we are at offices, sitting in the AC, do not come to know when it is dark as arrive office early morning & afternoon just passes by without our notice outside the window but sure on our watches/clocks.

These Malls have made it convenient to get everything under one roof but the atmosphere is all artificial.No drinks & food stuff allowed inside the shop. People are all dressed up as if after shopping they are going for a party with all that make-up & wearing those strong perfumes.  One can't feel the natural air but circulated AC air to breath. Water also cost along with variety of food stuff which have been introduced by other countries. Parking space in such Malls are so vast  still one has to search for the space to park & once you do park the car it is difficult to find after shopping. Security guards are least helpful! Why do we Indian's have to copy the people living in foreign countries for everything - can't we just understand that their culture, life style is different from ours? Otherwise for other things like love marriages, women smoking, etc are strictly not acceptable in Indian society.

I do not say that Mall's do not have any good points but other than being a convienient place to shop(where everything is available) there is nothing it can provide more. Children at a tender age are expected to bahave themselves like adults - so much restrictions to show off for everyone. Life is moving very fast but we must not go with its flow cause we do have choice to make to become slave of this modernization or to be what we really are.
