A 30-something bachelor Chaman Kohli (Sunny Singh Nijjar) has premature-balding that often makes him a butt of jokes and ridicule. He works as a Hindi lecturer in a local college, where the students too make fun of him. Many consider him to be too old, all due to his appearance having a bald pate. He wants to find a wife and settle down but his bald pate always lets him down. An astrologer Guruji (Saurabh Shukla) issues an ultimatum: to get married or remain a bachelor for life. What can Chaman do about it and that forms the crux of the movie.

2019 is well turning out to be the Year Of The Bald in Hindi Cinema.
Women use hair removing cream, wax, razor, etc on body hair but on the head! NEVER! Those hair r the Crowning Glory, without which one shies away from appearing before people.
What do these 4 Hindi films released this year have in common: They r about men and or women losing hair @ a young age, suffering from a medical condition called Alopecia. It must be a serious issue considering 4 movies on the subject have released in a single year 2019.
In show business, it can cost u ur career. This year there is a movie every 3 months on hair loss (ganja, takla, chatiyal maidan, banjar zameen, etc etc)
And in a society that goes after fair color and good looks, kaale lambe ghane seedhe baal is the Crowning Glory, without which u have already aged thus jeopardizing ur marriage. It is also a constant source of embarrassment & ridicule.
I thought thered be a thought-provoking movie but unfortunately all 4 r trying to evoke laughter through these romantic comedies.
This weeks release UJDA CHAMAN is an official remake of Kannada movie ONDU MOTTEYA KATHE (6.7.2017, Raj B. Shetty, Usha Bhandary).
It was also remade in Malayalam THAMASHA (5.6.2019, Vinay Forrt, Divya Prabha). Even BALA is supposed to be a copy from this Kannada movie.
Strangely, Akshay Kumar too went bald in his latest hit movie HOUSEFULL 4 in the song Shaitan Ka Saala Bala.
Is there a nuskha for hair loss. Well, even Hakim Luqman was left khujaoing his head.
