PRESKRYPT: Wot is narrated below is based on a true incident. The Krypt is yet to recover from the shock. His sad, shrunk skull stays shriveled(Wait. Say that again. Keep sayin it till u get it right…frustrated? Precisely how The Krypt’s feelin). His good friend, Nozzie, tried to help too, in his own charming, ingenious way. He tried to tickle The Krypt into a smile by rubbin his beard against The Krypt’s armpit joint(or whatever else it’s called); alas, to no avail. The Krypt merely sits, all sad, and reminisces about those final moments…

It all comes whizzing right back at him. In slow-mo. With a sepia tint. With heartbeats for background music.
The Krypt is strumming his 6-string.ah, the baby! However, good things ain meant to be… Suddenly, a most shockin noise penetrates his room from outside. “Tera tera tera suroooooooooooooo…oor”… The Krypt’s scared outta his wits, he wants to run for cover. He hurriedly gets up, hangs the guitar in its hangin place n tries to get as far away from the fearsome droning as possible. That’s wen he heard another sound. “Aaaaaahhhhhhh”. The Krypt wheels around. In his hurry, he hadn hung his guitar properly n it was gulp fallin down(in super-duper slow-mo).
“Aaaaaaaaahhhh, ” wails the guitar as its fallin.
“Aahh, ” cries The Krypt as he frantically tries to get there n save it.
“Aaaaaaaaahhhh!”
…But he was too late. his guitar lay on the ground, in its final moments, the Head of Tunin Keys almost severed. The Krypt, distraught, takes it in his arms n wails.
“His baby! Oh, his baby!”
The beautiful babe looks up at him n gives him a weak smile.
Beautiful Babe: Ah, Krypt. It choke had to happen SOMETIME, didn it? Some evil force HAD to get in between sooner or later. But it’s ok. All good things must come to an end. “But the memory remains.”. n that’s wot’ll get u stronger. I still remember wen u bought me from that stupid shop. I was the only good-lookin one left. All my friends’d been taken. It’s been 2 yrs since, Krypt. We’ve had a great time together. You’ve played some seriously good songs on me; songs not many wud’ve even heard of. N I thank u for that. Hey, tell u wot? Let’s talk about those songs. Revive those awesome memories. Will help me.errm.‘go to sleep’ happier. Say wot, Krypt?<

These 2 yrs’ve taught me so much abt u, Krypt. I kno wot kinda songs u like; I know how important the lyrics’re for u- I know u wudn like any song which goes like

N if it was any indication of the things they had in store for us…sigh. the eerie bells ringin at the start n end, the morbid bassline, the hair-raisin screams of “PAAAAAIIIN” .bah!.another sigh* Cobain left us too damn soon didn he, Krypt? There’re so many other songs I cud put in here too, but I’m gonna stick to the “One band, One song” rule.

*This one HAS to be there on every list, doesn it, Krypt? Wot u told me about this song is SO true! What contrasts within the song! The violins’re powerful by bein loud; my distant cuz from the US- Jimmy Page’s guitar- is powerful by being hushed n strained- u’re right, on close listen it DOES sound like the guitar’s gruntin; Plant’s vocals seem to be rainin from the skies; Bonham’s drums sound like stomps on the ground.ahhhhh.

I still remember, Krypt, how u told me one day abt a song u’d seen on Vh1 and how excited u were that grunge was back. Sadly, it turned out that Bush was a dead-n-gone band too. But u downloaded their whole discography n loved them! Except for their last album, when they’d succumbed to the trend n’d gone electronic *sigh. But this song, from their 1st album? Raw, rustic, beautiful. muted distortion, no drums, violins. n Gavin Rossdale’s awesome voice! Really sad they never reached where they shud’ve.

Alice in chains, Krypt! The best, most unique, most talented n most underrated band outta the grunge quartet- Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden n themselves.:) this song’s VERY special to u, ain it, Krypt? Got u ur very first consequence-of-a-concert date, didn it? That too with a Brit chick! Ah, but wot a song! Especially the unplugged version. The harmony n that last verse- no instruments in the background, jus Cantrell n Staley harmonizing.blissss. but Staley’s dead n THIS bands gone too.sigh*. where’re we headed to, Krypt?

They HAD to be in here, didn’t they? ‘Symphony n Metallica’(S&M) was one of the most ingenious concepts ever. Rock n a full 240(?) piece orchestra. Wow! This song jus slightly edged out the others. The angry, thumpin violins always got u swayin ur skull to the beat, didn it, Krypt? All’s well n loud until the chorus, wen it all shrinks into a broodin climactic piece while Hetfield delivers the bad news. metallica might be comin to India this year, Krypt. n I *choke wont be there to greet them.looks away
