A few months back one of my close friends came to me in a sombre mood with a paperback in his hand and declared that here is a book which has completely changed me!I was not amused because this is a caption which the western publishers often print on their covers to attract readers.Dr.Brian weiss's book,Many lives many masters does not claim to change your lives but it eventually may.

Let me ask you a question .What will be your reaction when you regress and realise that you had lived earlier and will live again after death?Some may become more reckless!Afterall this is not the only life I have! This is not the end! Some may become more responsible when they realise that everything you do is being accounted for .any other thoughts?

Somebody here asks'is it a TRUE STORY?'.Have you ever heard of an old fashioned INDIAN guy called Patanjali?The concept of PLT is as old as Patanjali's YOGA DARSHAN which was written around the 4th century BC.He talks about the soul(CHITTA) being burdened with the impressions or samskaras of karmas from previous births.Dr.Weiss's forefathers were eating raw meat in some jungle during those days.!But we are indians and we need the certification from a whiteman to accept the theory of reincarnation and PLT.There is a comparitively unknown book called Bhagavadgita which tells you that your soul leaves this body and accepts another body just as you shed old clothes to wear fresh ones.!
Even in the western world Dr.weiss was not the first to think of reincarnation.In the 'Book of spirits' (1857) Allen Kardec has written about spirits who spoke through mesmerized patients about their past lives.Perhaps one of the earlier persons to use regression as a therapy was Dr Denys Kelsey.His book Many Lifetimes(1967) is perhaps the first book on PLT which focuses more on therapeutic aspects rather than storytelling.
Past life regression is an accepted practice in the west and you can find hundreds of centres and practitioners in all major cities.we are now slowly accepting that one has to heal the mind also along with the body.MLMM is an excellent book which has already helped many like my friend to understand themselvs better and to find a direction and purpose in life.Because such people have a mental block to read Bhagavadgita or to accept (Mr.) Patanjali.Dr BrianWeiss the Psychiatrist sounds good!
His other book'Only love is real' is equally good and strongly recommended for any bodywho love somebody.
