My wife & my 13 month old son had the unfortunate experience of travelling with Indigo. This was my first experience with Indigo and I'm certain that I will not be flying with them in the future.
The lady at the check-in counter was extremely rude, the ground & ticketing staff totally inconsiderate and extremely arrogant.
My wife was explaining to the check-in staff that she had an international connection to the US and all international flights allow some min amount of baggage for the infants, leave alone the 23 kgs* 2 pcs for flights to US.
All this while, my 13 month old son was crying and instead of being of any assistance or helping out even a bit, all that the staff was doing was harrassing my wife and laughing about the excess baggage and the amount of money she'll have to pay extra.
Its pretty unfortunate for Indigo, since they've lost my business even before I fly them.
No free baggage allowance for infants
They do not honour any international connection baggage allowance
Inconsiderate/ rude/ arrogant/ disrespectful staff
I would recommend to all readers that you take your business elsewhere and never fly with Indigo airlines ever.
