I logged a call for a service request. A service personnel came to my house and changed the carbon filter as well as the sediment filter. he said if you go for annual maintenance contract it will be 2200 rs but since he has only changed the filters the price is 1550 rs. He gave me service completion form and where I am supposed to sign he wrote 1550. I asked him this is a service completion form where is my invoice. he said that is we give customers.
I said bring the invoice collect your money. also I told him I will give him a cheque, he did not accept. when I stressed for the invoice, he said okay give me 1000 rs I will give you invoice tomorrow. I was firm on the invoice part. he left. I called their helpline number, after a long wait, somebody answered the call. I asked him what is the price of the filter, he said approx 1550, I said why are not sure he said the price changes. I said I want to talk to your superior he disconnected the call.
After three calls I was able to get the actual price of the filters which according to that gentleman is 400 for one filter. I was being duped for 550. please be aware always insist on a invoice with vat number.
I tried to escalate the issue from the website, but there is no email of any apellate authority. all of us are at the mercy of these service technicians. I am surprised why does the company not disclose the prices of filters of various models on its website.
