Having travelled to quite a number of places in and out of the country, I do enjoy writing a few lines ( good or otherwise) about the place if it has left a lasting impression. This is one such place.
If you want to really relax during your weekend without having to travel too far from Blore, then this is the place for you. Though it does seem a little over priced ( Rs.8000/-) for one nights stay ( and 2 whole days including the food), they make up for it by pampering you to the core. Anytime is a good time to go there. The drive is just about 1 and 1/2 hours from MG road, a little beyond Nandi hills. The roads are absolutely good.
The farm house is anything but a farm house, it looks like a portion of a 5 star hotel, detached and placed on a beautiful farm . The house with a waterfall in the middle of the living room really takes your breath away. The decor has an authentic kerala "Tharavadu" touch to it. There is a beautiful pool , with a kids pool attached to it. Since the owner, Mr. Mathew , rents it out to a single family or only one group at a time, you have the luxury of enjoying the whole house to yourself with the pool of course. To add to all the comforts , there is a dedicated cook who dishes out some gourmet food ( a feast , in fact) and a boy who brings in fresh tender coconut water just plucked from their farm, some watermelon juice, chicken kababs etc as you are lazing by the pool.
The farm has fruiting trees, geese, ducks,turkey, sheep, lambs, dogs and pups. The staff are very courteous and helpful.
If I ever feel like taking a short break , I wouldn't hesitate to go back there again. It is worth every penny!
