the best reply to them is to dump their service.
One of my friends got a Reliance WIMAX connection (pretty neat, terminates in CAT5 that can directly plug into a wireless router).
they provide uptoi 2 mbps.
for 300Kbps, initial cost Rs. 500-600, monthly unlimited at Rs. 999.
i'm ge...tting this and dumping tata indicom.

Please don't even think about getting a connection from these jokers.
I have an average of 3-4 outages a week.
The call center is of no help - they have no idea of which ticket is closed when. they are like a bottomless pit. I never receive a call back from the call center or the engineer...Read more

I bought an Airtel prepaid card in delhi. and the call drop rate has been phenomenal. I think these guys keep their networks bad just to get more money with more calls.
Am here in delhi for just 2 weeks, so I thought i'd stick with this and bought 2 recharge cards of Rs. 324 each. Now I am no...Read more

Good review, Mr. Roy!
wish i'd got on to ms earlier, maybe we could have met at the Taj in Beijing... i spent the first couple of weeks of december there....
one piece of advice, if you want to shop in BJ, THE place to go is HongQiao (pearl market) opposite to TianTan (temple of heaven). This ...is the wholesale market for paintings, seals, chinese art stuff, jewelry, pearls, DVDs/VCDs, clothes, accesories, toys, etc.
basically a superset of Silk Street and the vendors are less rip-offs... decent prices and pretty decent quality.. although i stick to the sculptures, paintings and souveniers there...
also note for travelers.. am a big fan of KF, ad found the local beer Tsing Tao to be pretty close in taste....
do try it when you're there...
the ming tombs are awesome, not to be missed...
cheers
rakesh

it's one of the few major attractions in China i'm yet to see.
please share...
regards

Believe me, these guys mean it when they say ''100% pure''.
Endless picture postcard scenes of mountains, lakes (yes, the color of kaho na pyar hai), loving family, dense forests, good roads, incredibly friendly people, a fully loaded Totoya PRADO, music by Pink Floyd, pure air and water, cle...Read more
