the senior managers at Ravindu were extremely helpful and professional.
we have resolved all issues amicably and I am looking forward to getting my Innova today from them.
I am changing the rating, but keeping the text below to give a proper account of my interaction with them so that this experience can help fellow mouthshut readers.

I COMPLAINED TO TKM ON FRIDAY.
BOTH TOYOTA AND RAVINDU GOT BACK TO ME ON SATURDAY AND WE ARE DISCUSSING THE PRICING TODAY. WILL KEEP THIS UPDATED ON THE PROCEEDINGS.
SO FAR THE RESPONSE HAS BEEN PROFESSIONAL AND PROMPT.
We went to Ravindu in early September with the intention of buying a Silver Innova V2.5, and discussed trade-in of our car. The discount offered to me was Rs.80,000 (including corp discount of 5K). I was told that they would get back to me regarding the value I could get for my car. I called the executive again on 26 Sep and checked on the value. Since it was low, I decided to sell my car to Maruti True Value, and mentioned this to the sales executive. I also told him I would book the car on Saturday, 30 Sep.
He said OK.
When I called on Sep 30 morning, I was told by him that the price is based on DELIVERY and since they cannot deliver in September, they will not take bookings on 30 Sep 06. He categorically asked me not to come, and that he would call me on Tuesday, 2 Oct with new pricing. I called again and was told pricing would be in by Thursday evening.
I went back on Thursday evening around 7PM and met a manager. He bluntly told me that the discount was now Rs.40,000. When I asked him about the deliveries that were being made in front of me, he mentioned those were bookings in September and delivered on Oct 5. When I asked him why I was prevented from booking, he said I don't know, ask the sales executive. Sales executive now says price is based on registration, not on delivery.
In a most unprofessional manner, they washed their hands off saying "do what you want, this is the price".
I was earlier told price is based on delivery date, now they say price is based on registration date
When I called theexecutive on 26th, he did not mention that there is any cutoff for booking for Sep. I had clearly told him of our intention of booking on 30th, yet he did not tell us it is not possible.
I was prevented from booking the car on 30 Sep.
When I sought an explanation, both staff were very rude, and took a "do what you want" attitude.
Pricelist says price is valid for delivery dates, executives say it is based on registration/booking dates.
I think it is unfortunate for a company like Toyota to have dealers and executives resorting to lying and cheating just to cut down on discounts given to a customer, forcing customers to pay more.
Well, Ravindu Toyota definetely won't be getting any of my money, they just lost one customer.
