I agree with ur views here .Most ppl feel cheated because agents have not set up proper expectations. Ulips are for long term investments of 10 yrs ,while Mutual funds are for 3 years .ppl compare the performance of a ULIP with a mutual fund at the 3 yr span and feel cheated.

I Think ULIP is all about long term investment and you need 10 years to get a break even. Mutual funds are short term investments for 3 yrs. I fully agree that agents try to sell ULIP's because of the high commission they get ( 30-40% allocation charge in 1st year) . We ,the investor need to be full...y aware of risks involved before investing our hard earned money.Read More

Meghna I think ur taking bollywood bit too seriously ..everybody knows that wot ever shown there is to be taken with a pinch of salt :) & there are a very few directors who make sensible cinema here . i guess they call it artistic /creative license. chill madi !!!
