@Venkat: Most banks have this pre-pay penalty clause, even PSUs. Axis bank is an exception here, they donot charge any pre-payment charges after the first 6 EMIs. Ping me in case you want more info.

I would suggest, you go to the consumer forum. Consumer forums are known to give a judgment quickly and in the favour of consumer. Also, contrary to the common belief, there is not much running around. It will also serve as a deterrent to them in future.

That was a really bad experience. I think it is only the low interest rates that makes people run to these PSUs. I have had similar experience with PNB. Like SBI, they were not at all interested in giving a loan.

-Here is how home loan rates are calculated. RBI decides a Prime Lending Rate(PLR). Banks have their internal bench mark lending rates based on this PLR and some internal factors. On this bench mark rate, banks give you a discount. This discount remains constant for you through out the loan p...Read more

@hakoonamatata: Once the EMI starts, banks do not vary the EMI (their are hassles in this, since the ECS or checks already with bank have to be changed), the tenure varies though accordingly. The negotiation for interest story is a common grouse with almost all banks. They promise and then ...deliver something else. And by the time the loan is approved, you cannot go back, because then the processing fees are lost. @rohitgrover: You said it right. The trust is missing and then due to their heavy market share, they do not care about the customer.Read More

I have a ICICI Home Loan and that is the worst mistake of my life. ICICI interest rates are the highest in the market and their after sale service just sucks and to top it, they have put riders of all sorts so that  the customer cannot leave them once he gets into their clutches. *(1) July...Read more

Dear BG, Please donot compare apna Salman Khan with Govinda!!! I guess you have been driving an Indica so far and you cannot compare the space inside an indica with anyother car in its class. Secondly, with AC on, most of the cars below 1500cc become sluggish. Even my Corsa is a different car wit...h AC on. The engine is tried and tested (in a Matiz and is just a makeover.) This car is targeted in the segment of Estillo and Alto and not on the Tall Boy segment (Santro/WagonR/Indica). If u want a bigger engine n space I would suggest u try the Uva. The spark is what GM claims a small, cute and smooth car. Being a GM customer myself, I can swear by the smoothness of the engine. It'll be class apart. Read More

Man Calvin...didnt you check my ratings on reliability. Didnt need to get things mended. Besides all big cars come with big dents as far as spares are concerned, just leave alone that Esteem.

Sorry I didnt test ride any other cars. I only relied on reviews on the internet. I guess this is a very safe bet as far as choosing a product is concerned. The ikon's average was not very appealing and that was deterrent as far as I am concerned.

Hi Avisb, I am a new one in ur city. I have just purchased the Corsa 1.4. It has done 5000 kms in just a month and yes it has been a revelation. Mileage.....I get 15+km/ltr all the time, even manged that with 6 ppl on board. The only bother is the '190mm' low ground clearance. It manages to scrub... almost everything. Besides that it's great, it flies as you said. Thanks for all the points in your reviews. And please let me know GMs Delhi email id. Regards, PssainiRead More
