.. It all culminates from that TATA's to the dealers that it has. As per my understanding (and am pretty sure that it is this way), that the TATA dealers don't get a margin as good as say Maruti/Hyundai dealers, which makes it imposing on them to hire sub-standard or non-competitive professionals, t...hereby leading to this pathetic state of affairs at TATA dealers. And now all this comes into picture, because TATA wants to sell car at the lowest price in the market, be it at the cost of agony that the customer has to face! Long live Marutis/Hyundais !!Read More

It's high time that TATA takes customer-care and service seriously before being thrown outta the market just for the absence of it and ofc because of the highly competitive Marutis and Hyundais. Maruti does a wonderful job on the other hand when it comes to customer service, and even today after ...about 4 months of me buying their wagonR I get a call almost every month asking for feedback. Now, this is what you call customer care .. it makes you feel being cared about after paying 4 odd lakhs and they actually do ! When I bought a WagonR, the only thing that kept me away from buying a TATA car is their pooorest service and the numerous complaints floating on the net surrounding their pathetic service. Good luck on getting your car as early as possible from now and hope you don't have to bang on their gates again for service. A local mechanic would be able to do a better job I gess ! Even I bought one sometime in september but mine is the vxi version. The car is great to drive ... I say this as I have already done 5000 kms without any problem except for a couple of flat tyres :( It handles very well till 120, after which the lightness of the car add to it the thinner tyres show... its toll. Anyway a very good car infact I wud say the best in that segment... by means of quality, engine efficiency, decent space and lotsa leg room to accomodate a person of my height (6'3in) :) Good luck !Read More

... with the dealers. It's of no real use that such great cars are available in India, when the dealers are such a pathetically low level of maturity when it comes to treating customers. Wonder, if that's that scene for a prospective customer, what wud be the state of apathy faced by an existing ...customer. These dealers suck big time, and should be outta the scene soon before Honda India runs into loses because of turn offs like this !Read More

Can you give you experience ? ... Yes the world watches one more thing.. when you sit down in middle of the road to repair the bike or on sunday to see if all the parts are in place :)Read More

Why would someone give out their cell number to elucidate their mileage claims ?? Utter craaaaaaaaap u cree...p writer ! First of all the review itself is at the wrong place. Secondly, you are rating/commenting on your own review .. Btw, don't you think when you compare your underpowered and so called Turbo Indica to a Swift, you are comparing apples to grapes ? What is it that you didn't like in the WagonR/Santr...o ? Ok yes, interior space in Indica is better than WagonR, but what about Headroom and bootspace ? ... Shall I mention the service network as well .. am sure you will puke once you get the treatment by Tata service centres. Sorry but your review is useless !Read More

The features of which you talk like FM (available even on roadside transistors @ Rs.50), good reception (available on all or shall I say almost all nokia models) and durability has always beeen a USP for Nokia. As for the design, I would simply say it really SUX, those buttons, I really dint find... any user-friendliness in those weirdly shaped and placed buttons. They call it BUTTERFLY design, I'd say right ... I'll get butterflies in my stomach if I dial any number without looking at the screen for reaching a wrong person ... No wonder, Nokia realised the cheap and weird design they had brought out in the market and discontinued the model as well as the design from any of the future models ... Good and mindful job Nokia has done here :) Sorry mate, but only thing I'd say is 2300 SUX big time in the design of the keypad .. and the rest of the things are no big deal in it !Read More

Yes ofcourse there is one running-in period for all cars .. ! For the WagonR it's clearly mentioned in the owner's manual not to exceed 100Kmph during the first 1000Kms so as not to cause irreversible damage and to have a better engine life. As for the dealer guys, they hardly know about it since... I remember asking them and got an answer to keep the speed limit to 40Kmph (which is normally the case for bikes!) .. had to personally check the manual on day one and that limit of 100Kmph is what I found in there ! Anyway, ignorance can be bliss but not always :) .. Cheers !Read More

... as to why the car is the best in its class ? What specs are you referring to claim that it has the best legroom in its class ? Btw, legroom is a very relative term .. and certainly it is dear to me since I've gotten a superlative height and found neither the Indica or Santro gives me the legroom... that WagonR does ! Also, can you put some more light on how much did you pay for the car ? I surely won't go for the car of a company which has itself stopped production of any cars. Can you tell us where do you get the spares ... from GM ? or some local market ? Looks .. yes, it was definitely one of the better looking (but not manly) cars around in its time .. Cheers and Good luck ... !Read More

... that after we shell out soo much of our hard earned money to get something which is still a luxury in the Indian market, we get such a third-graded service. And certainly the place where Marutis are manufactured isn't atleast expected to house such hopless dealers. Wish you good luck pal in y...our fight against those suckers. Read More

Congrats on your new car pal ... indeed the Swift is a very stable and powerful car. However, did you forget that there is something called as 'Running-In' ... I and infact most us would not recommend you to speed so much in the initial 1000 odd Kms. Happy Driving ! Cheers !

Hahaha .. I noticed this after you mentioned about it ... even my car gives the same 'jerk' to the lever everytime you accelerate and de-accelerate but then is it so painful ? To allay the pain (if at all you feel it), I happened to drive an Indica immediately after I drove the WR and happened to... notice that this happens even on that car. So may be it's a 'God Given' trait to every gear box that is made in India for small cars :) Btw, what is the average that your WagonR is currently returning ? Cheers !Read More

Those are my questions to your excitement about the car ... can you please elaborate the features which you found really cool et al ? Also you mentioning about the CONS as 'nil' ... isn't something that I can digest ... because am the owner of one newer model Vxi too and you read my reviews, to se...e the few pitfalls that WagonR has. Anyway, Happy Driving and Congrats on your new car. Cheers !Read More

... even I did that more than a couple of times to switch to 3rd instead of 5th due to the hardness on my VXI, but that has smoothened out now .. I'm done with the first service (I didn't tell them about the hardness of the gears, coz I dint want them to meddle around with the new gearbox trying to ...fix something that is more of 'by birth' defect :) ) ... anyway the gear shift has now gotten very smooth and I don't have any issues absolutely. Thanks for the review pal. Am sure that would definitely help people who have boiled down their choices to Santro and WagonR. Yes, this newer model definitely has in to take the Santro head on :). However, when it comes to technology, even the earlier one was better than the Santro with the EPS and ...32-bit Engine backed by strongest Maruti service centres. As for the problem with the rear-view mirror, I'd suggest you get the ones on VXI fitted for your DUO. I've the newer model Vxi and the rear-view mirrors I'd say are one the best I've ever used on any car. Give it a thought pal. Btw, where do you get your car serviced from in Pune ? Even am put up in Pune (bought my car from Mumbai - my hometown) and find it difficult to choose one service centre in pune. So it'd be helpful if you suggest one. wish you a Happy n Safe Driving ! - ShreyasRead More

And a very detailed review pal. All the best for your future drives. Don't forget to check out my detailed review on the newer model WagonR Vxi on mouthshut :) Btw, would like to know how was your experience with the dealer. What prompted me to opt for this service was the name (BPL when I bought it 3 years ago in Pune - Maharashtra/Goa Circle) ... but then I was studying and didn't bother much about quality and the abysmally low prices (and free SMSes) offered seemed lucrative.
