Even i had this problem recently. the car used to skid/slip ahead when braked in immergency. when enquired, the prob was bcoz of the tyres loosing the threadings.now i have put the broad 185/70 tubeless tyres instead of 165/80. they r simply too good. this has reduced the braking distance too,... n ...has given more confidence to drive faster in city bumper to bumper traffic, n also u can follow any car without any insecurity of urgent braking.on otherside the avg hasn't reduced much...it gives around 9.5 kpl in city traffic.the steering feels slightly heavy and still the prob of low ground clearance remains...infact reduced by few milemeters more.but worth the great drive it offers!Read More

i m not so against the Honda, but i feel the City Exi, Gxi are just over priced compared to the competition.Vtec does provide good engine n a world class technology. but the City Zx 1.5 isn't worth the money. All the averages n great mileage figures ppl tell u are when the cars are driven at 70km n ...fifth gear, or the best figures, but thats not the case everyday. i m sure u don't drive the car in optimum conditions all time. Anyways on personal note i won't really prefer the CITY exi or Gxi, coz its not at all a performer, Vtec rocks. But the bottom line is just how much are u willing to pay for that badge, even the GM and Ford and Mitsubhishi doesn't exploit u that much.(forget the suzuki or hyundais, or Tatas). And if you are willing to pay just a bit more, probably u can opt for way better cars than the city.Read More

well my friend if u missed on some details, the honda city sold in india doesn't have the side beams in the doors,..that leaves with no protection on side impacts. also u r not that confident when r u takin high speed turns around 100km/hr (compared to lancer or baleno) , i drove the new vtec, must s...ay impressed with the power n the torque.but i feel pity for the 77bhp city owners.totally impotent when it comes to speeding. now the comparision really starts with the arrival of vtec. the vtec as said won't give any better avg than 9 or max 10 in city.thats equal to baleno or ikon 1.6. still the handling is poor at highspeeds. they tried to copy the corrolla tail lamps which actually spoiled the nice ones it had.also they claim they have improved the suspension, that needs to be watched out for there were series complaints of expensive suspension works within one years time. now if u remove the vtec badge, the engine is just another DOHC 1.5 litre, 4 cylinder,16valve,100 bhp engine with torque of 135nm@4800rpm while the baleno gives 132nm@3500 rpm...thats quicker power . so engine tech, no big deal.nor the milage.and talking of the length of car, its increased by making the bumpers bigger, but the cabin space is actually lesser n the lap rest and legroom is smaller.but yes the interior qaulity r good in vtec.still the seats can't match the comfort level of baleno.or lancer and the new climate control feature in baleno is definate plus than any C segment. neways honda has its own brand name, but it shudn't be exploiting ppl for 9 lakhs for vtec when same performance can be bought for couple of lakhs cheaper.(ref baleno, feista, lancer Gi, ikon accent viva)Read More

hi, don't u think the new city is smaller than the older one, n its sideways look is ODD, and that it does really return 16km/lt avg ?...my friends city only gives 11 in city traffic n 14.5 on highways...morever its not got high speed, hows that

hi Road grip is good, not an issue if u r on straights ,and can take turns easily at high speeds, quite steady. But now new 14 inch wheels will solve the prob of the ground clearance. but then its a general prob wit all sedans wit low GC. infact the narrow tyres r smartly adapted to give better mil...eage.Read More

The baleno is possibly the most under-rated car in the C segment. It does give a very good performance...it has good aluminum 1.6 litre engine which gives 94 bhp.I have touched a top speed of 170 km without any fear of losing the car control. And I have done 0 -100 in about 14 seconds which i...Read more
