Brilliant in performance. Review on Maruti Suzuki Baleno

The baleno is possibly the most under-rated car in the C segment.

It does give a very good performance...it has good aluminum 1.6 litre engine which gives 94 bhp.I have touched a top speed of 170 km without any fear of losing the car control. And I have done 0 -100 in about 14 seconds which is good for layman. U can lazily drive the baleno without changing the gears at low speeds. The engine doesn’t hitch at all if u r in wrong gears, a simple tap on the accelerator is enough.

Also the ride is very smooth, and very comfortable and also handles the Mumbai’s bumpy roads with ease, don’t really need to slow down.

Very surprising, a car with so much power gives a city average of 10 km/lt consistently even after 2 yrs and a highway average of 15 km/lt.

It has very comfortable seats (height adjustable for driver) and a lot of conveniences like electronically adjustable side view mirrors, door not properly shut alarm, lights left ON alarm when u leave the car and the other common features like the power windows, thief alarm with engine lock!!!

Now the New baleno has new clear tail lamps and the 14 inch alloy wheels and the climate control feature which cannot be found any of the C segment cars!!!

Now compared to New Honda City, Baleno has more powerful engine 1600 cc compare to only 1500 cc,94 Bhp compared to city's only 77 bhp,more torque of 13.2 to city's 12.8 ,top speed of 175 to lesser top speed of City, more room in the cabin, comfortable seats, and very secure ride.and off course the feel of bigger sedan car than much of an odd fish like design of city. And yes Maruti Suzuki spares are cheaper and in all an economical car to maintain.

The car design is different, more of like generic sedans.Suzuki can improve its styling by some fresh tweaks to its looks and improve the interiors. Also they really need to improve the car ad campaigns and promote it aggressively.
