Hi, Thought some info would be helpful, but it is based on my exp. 1.frequent and spontaneous disconnections.sometimes the status shows connected but i m unable to open any website. [mpawate] : the network speed might be very slow. 2.the network which shows ''umts'' changes to ''edge'' on it own... n u get disconnected. [mpawate]: if the signal is good, you should see HSDPA else with this UMTS or EDGE will be very slow and leads to frustration. 3.this message comes frequently-the ppp link protocol is terminated.still unable to solve this. [mpawate]: I could see these messages when the currency or data-limit got over and sometimes it is worth removing the SIM and again insert it back and try to connect. Update as on 24th Oct 2011: 1. Recently, there is no more unlimited download plans from BSNL now. So got to change my place. No option .. :). Hope they might come up with unlimited plans again shortly. 2. BSNL 7.2 Mbps datacard works fine till today. Never came across any issues unless you rene...w the bills on time. it speed is good in other urban areas of Karnataka as well.Read More

Hi Arnab, Yeah, I am still using it. It works good with me. Last month for 3 days, it was very slow, when I went to their office they informed me about the migration happening. Yes, it is in Bangalore. They clearly said it is ''upto 3.1Mbps'' not 3.1 Mbps. I believe It all depends on the area also. It is wireless techno, it should work provided BSNL supports 3G in your area.
