how old is your car? the wear and tear (gear nob, door trim coating )is natural after using it for 95k kms...not specific to a civic. it wud be better if u can be more specific. tyres wearing out is again not car specific, it depends on the pressure u maintain. however if the wear and tear is in a... particular pattern, like wearing out faster in the inside part of the tyre, then its the axles problem etc....Read More

@dipesh majumdar: I agree with u, no doubts about the fiat engine!! its a wonderful engine. But the swift not only is a box around it but also adds a lot of purpose to this engine. the handling, the weight balance, power to weight ratio are all so perfectly designed making swift what it is.

Well, its been a long time since I owned a Swift VDI, I wanted to wait long enough to write a good unbiased review. Firstly, what struck me the most about this beautiful piece if engineering is the handling and control. For a hatchback, the control is remarkable. Cornering at high speeds was ...Read more

dude renjushere, is your problem with Swift or the maruti brand or the service or maruti? please be more clear, i have had Swift VDI since 2007 and it has clocked 40K jms and i never had any problem. Its funny how u gave the example of GM (which is in doldrums) which produces the Spark to ...suggest that maruti is not doing well. Look at the results, maruti is way ahead. I agree that the monopoly time is over, but no point blaming one car model for it.Read More

I have a swift VDI since 2007, I agree with the rattling sound problem, which can be solved by keeping as little loose objects on the dash and on the several storage places. There is enough place in the boot to keep ur tool kitn the triangle, keep it under the carpet and it shud be fine.
