My 2 month old Gladiator also have the same problem,The 'tic tic'sound is the adjusting of the sides walls of the engine part.Pick up is not good as you said.About the gear if u shiftdown while slowin you will have no problem isn putting 1st gear,otherwise if u shift down the gear from 5th otr 4th t...o 1st after reaching a hault,it will not move from 2nd to 1st gear.Read More
