Dude, you have also faced the issue with the reverse light. I think there is a design issue there. I am also facing similar issue where the reverse light has come out from the left side. I have seen this issue with almost 50% of the Punto that I have seen on road. I had already made a complaint... to FIAT and the dealership. I think we should all make complaints for that so that FIAT fixes it as it is a manufacturing/design issue.Read More

The car is heavy and strongly built so 1.2 would be slugginsh anyways. I am owning a 1.3 MJD Emotion since almost an year and I am not facing many of those issues as you mentioned. a) Yes, the plastic quality is not very good but not so bad either. Its much better than Tatas and Marutis. b) I agre...e that the turning radius is big and taking UTurns is not an easy job. c) For the reversing issue, its always not easy with big cars, but you will slowly adjust with time. I had installed the reverse parking sensors in my car and never faced any issue. they cost 2000-8000 Rs and are very handy. you should get them if you are facing difficulties. d) For the A/c, 1.2L engine is not enough to supply so much power and its quite hot in delhi. I was also feeling the same and contacted the dealer, he has told me that FIAT is replacing an A/c duct for users facing this problem so you should contact the dealership. I will also be going to get them replaced. The low ground clearance is a design of Punto. Since it is a europen design and the roads there are smooth and good so not a problem there. But it is definitely an issue here on Indian roads. I had made complaints on that and awaiting response from FIAT. Do you also see any issue with your rear left fog lamp?? I mean is it broken?Read More

Hi Debanjani, Didn't you get an owner's manual from the dealer? That manual does mention the tyre pressure details. It actually depends on the model and the tyres that you have. For Emotion (175/70 R14), it is 30.5 (Front) and 32 (rear) with moderatre load. With full load it is 31.5 and 33.5 i... think. Just check the owner's manual for details.Read More

Hey, thats a great news. I knew FIAT people will be courteous and would fix it asap. This is what was missing from FIAT couple of years back - The after sales service. And they have taken care of it very well this time. So, how are you finding the car now? I hope you would be enjoying this won...derful car. The best thing about Punto is that it is FIAT's best seller around the world and so the they must be having a good knowledge on it. This will help in faster problem resolutiuon. Enjoy the 'bold new drive' from FIAT and do share your experience and the average you are getting. Read More

Hi, Good to hear that you got the right guys now to look over your Punto. I am quite sure that FIAT engineers will rectify the problems quickly. As I told you FIAT is very serious on the customer service this time. This is their best chance to get a hold of Indian market so they won't miss it.... They have heaviliy invested in India and they want to make a mark here with these cars (Punto and Linea). I hope and wish that your Punto gets ready for the vroooooom asap .... Do update on the service experience. All the best!Read More

I am also owning Grande Punto Diesel Emotion model since 1 and a half month and I haven't faced any issue with that. I haven't noticed any problem with the car. I know 3 more people who own this car and they are happy with it. Only one of them had a faulty headlight switch which was replaced by the ...dealership. I guess your's was one of the rare and unfortunate instance. In Delhi/NCR, I have noticed that this time the FIAT(Tata/Fiat) dealerships are really very responsive and customer oriented. I think you should file a complaint to the CEO's desk and I am sure you will get a wuick response. My friend did that and he got a call from the CEO's desk the same day. Punto is a great machine and this is a rare instance. Hope you get your car fixed asap.Read More

Nipun, Do you think reaching 0-100 Km/hr faster is the only criteria to make a verdict on a car? FYI, variuos reviews on net say that the MJD goes 0-100 in 13.6 to 17.86 sec. I don’t know whats the correct value for that. I think when you are buying a car you have to consider lot more factor...s like safety, comfort, ride, handling and stability, looks, mileage, features etc etc. Don’t compare it with Zen, my friend. I have driven a zen and I don’t agree with you that zen is faster than the Punto. It is nowhere near the Punto. Can your Zen survive and save you in a crash? Can your Zen accomodate 5 people very comfortably? Does it handle bad roads well? You don’t just need the 0-100 figure to benchmark a car. I also found that the pickup is not very good in 1st and 2nd gear (comparing it with Swift and City that I have driven), but I must tell you that from 3rd gear onward, it changes completely. You can just run it quicker and it will respond perfectly. Moreover, you won’t be always driving the car on highways. In city conditions you don’t need to accelerate hard. In Delhi’s traffic most of the time I am driving at a speed of 30-40 Km/hr and mostly in 2nd and 3rd gear so you need to get a balanced car that is easy to handle in city or highway. Modern Technology is not just faster pick up. Have you heard of Blue & Me in any other car in the segment? I have already clocked around 1000 Km till date and the average I get in city with AC always on is 15Km/Ltr and on highway (just drove for 100 km) it comes out to be around 20 km/ltr. I have had two hits on tha car where I felt that the body would have got dents but it was just the paint that got removed. I have different opinion than you. I just don’t need fastest acceleration but better handling, safety, comfort, mileage etc on my car. If you really want to provide your opinion on this car then please provide complete comparison (specs, features etc) with others.Read More

I have seen all the colors. I think silver (minimal grey) is better and royal looking . You would have seen Linea in that color. Don't worry minimal grey is looking very good on Punto.
