My father owns a Zen Estilo VXI model. The mileage with A/C (with 1-2 points) is around 10-11 kms. The car is good for driving in and around city conditions. It is very smooth on flat roads, but on even slightly uneven roads, the car offers a bumpy ride. The outer bumper and body steel quality is no...t very good. Even for minor hits, the bumper can get cut.Read More

The Ground Clerarance of Ford Figo is 168mm, Indica Vista is 165mm and Swift is 170mm. Since the height of the car is 1427 mm, do we have a perception that the car is too low? I spoke with few figo owners and they had problem with ground clearance. Then vista shud also have the same problem, right?

'The diesel variant of the Figo I drove also had an excellent music system which could tap the FM stations even at 40km outside Bangalore n still give good fidelity music playback!' It is a diesel car.

Honda to roll out Jazz with Rs 7 lakh tag NEW DELHI: Honda's Jazz compact is all set to hit Indian roads on June 10 but the car is likely to cost close to Rs 7 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), making it the most-expensive hatchback manufactured in India, costlier than others like Hyundai i20 and Skoda ...Fabia. At this price point, Jazz will also face competition from many sedan models. I think we can buy a good diesel sedan and save some money for accessories for the price of Jazz.Read More

You can consider Ford Ikon Diesel ( Rs. 6 Lakhs on road price) or Ford Fiesta Diesel (Price between Rs. 7-8.5 Lakhs) They have good looks, good features and offer you better mileage than hyundai cars.

I think the strike called by All India Motor Transport Congress is in a way good for the general public. It will help in reducing the price of diesel thereby reducing the cost of transportation of goods. The cost of essential commodities and products for the end consumers will become cheaper. The... Indian Government has reduced the price of ATF from Rs.71000/Kilo Liter to Rs.31,000/Kilo Litre to save the Airlines Industry. Why can't it reduce the price of diesel to help the road transportation industry?Read More

'On the other hand if you get anything fitted from a non dealer location and the car warranty is null and void. This policy on accessories makes Ford a complete loser on the after-sales service column.' I completely agree with your above statement. I fitted in a brand new 'Bosch' car battery. Wh...en I took my car for service, they said that the car will come under warranty only if it has Ford Genuine Spares. So, I had to buy a new battery with them to get my car under warranty. The battery ford installed was a Exide battery without any name written on it. I would like to state that Ford's Service is very bad and unsatisfactory. Their Service advisers are most interested in pushing services like under body painting, waxing etc. instead of listening to customer's problems. Then finally they end up screwing up everything and the very purpose of taking the car for service gets defeated. When you call them and ask them to keep the bills ready, they say it is ready for pickup. But when you reach there, only then they start to initiate the billing. Below are the most common problems that I normally face with them: 1. They state that the car was cleaned and water washed. But, When I take delivery of the car, I find mud, crease and dirt inside the car. 2. Some kind of electrical problem creeps up. Before delivery of the car, they say they check (QA) it completely. But after taking delivery, tail lights, horns or power windows don't work. Though they were fine during service pickup, I have to pay for getting them fixed. So before taking delivery of your serviced car, please spend 5 minutes to check your car completely. Taking a test ride is even better. ( Bcoz during billing, they get a sign in a letter stating the service was good and satisfactory) 3. Spares and Service fees are way too high priced. Even small accessories like Mud Flaps, Wheel Covers, Radio On/Off Button are costly. Radio on/off button costs Rs.100. Can you believe it? Read More

Hi, I too had the same experience with BBQ Nation, Chennai when we went there for a team lunch. When we booked our table, they didn't mention anything about time policy. When we reached the restaurant on time at 1:00pm, we were told that we should leave at 2:30pm sharp as there was another bookin...g. It was very irritating. I went with my wife for dinner the following Wednesday and to my surprise, they had the same starters and buffet. But their website states they keep changing their menu based on the list of starters, main course, soups, desserts advertised on their website. During dinner, their buffet cost Rs.450 and doesn't include a free complimentary drink. Their lunch was Rs.400/- with a complimentary drink. They don't serve Indian Beers and charge around Rs.225 for a Corona Pint Beer. In most of the restaurants I face this problem: Even before checking if the customer had finished their meal, they just take the plate and walk away. But, the waiters in BBQ Nation were kind enough to refill waters regularly even before I call them.Read More

Tata Sky is far better than dish TV. With Dish TV - during rains, there is channel flickering, sync issues and blackout problems. I presume it to be the same with Tata Sky.
