the most interesting thing is that i really got euphoric after watching the movie. i guess i took it for granted that the movie is good even before watching it. but i find ur revu very correct. maybe it was AB's power packed performance that made me so euphoric. also the movie has been shot beautifu...lly. i would also like to add one more thing- in the movie guru keeps announcing to everyone that he would go very far. i thought businessmen are among the most modest poeple in the world, even if they r successfull. i cant really imagine dhirubhai shooting off like that.Read More

was a gr8 revu. good work. but nice comments from leonhartzz. we were disagreeing a bit on another issue(related to cricket), but i agree with him here. while i do agree that attention should be given to the priorities(which doesnt happen here), renaming cities is not such a bad idea.

u seem to be a qeerish guy as i could make out from ur profile(eating grass is among your interests). but would u guys bother to think abt indian cricket for a moment. i mean why such obsession with ganguly and chappel. first u blast chappel like he has played galli cricket all his life and then u s...ay that his true mettle would be known only against pakistan and england. i mean if his true mettle isnt yet known, how can u already be so harsh to him. and by the way he has turned this team around from being poor losers to ruthless winners as is evident from the sudden lift in the fielding and fitness standards and more important the hunger to win, which had almost vanished off late. he has turned this team around in a short time. why dont u just accept the obvious.Read More

i know very well that the openers r there to negotiate the new ball and take its shine away and make it easier for the middle order. but this notion in itself is very negative to me. how can there be 2 categories of batsmen. one who take the shine away from the ball and the other who are typically '...good' batsmen. because if u r not a good batsman u cant play the moving ball and hence cant take the shine away from the ball. i mean someone like aakash chopra(who was there just to take the shine off the ball) failed to make much impact as he infact used to invite pressure by not scoring runs and just stroking the ball ball back to the bowler. its much better to start with ur better batsmen who r better equiped to handle the pressure and more important than anything else, u need a solid start from the openers, as the middle order does not have to launch a rescue effort every time u lose early wickets and hence can play their natural games. hayden and langer have shared a record no. of double century partnerships. i want to know, what is it abt them that they can be called 'specialist openers'?????? now, i simply dont understand, why suddenly people r talking so negatively abt sachin. in the last series that he played before the sri lanka series(it was against pakistan), he scored 3 fifties(including one 94) and in one of those innings he got out to a dubious umpiring decision. against the sri lankans he has scored a hundred. yes he did not do that well overall in the series. but how can u be so harsh on him after just one series, even in which he has certainly not showed that he cant hold the bat any more. and u cant discount the fact that he has played over 16 years of international cricket, so there is bound to be some wear and tear. i mean u cant expect the same fluency as was there even 6 or 7 years back. his mere presence boosts the morale of the indian team and gives a scare to the opposition. u just cant be so harsh to someone like him. pleeeeaaaasRead More

thanx for the compliments. i really think that whenever a batsman says that he is 'comfortable' in a particular batting position, he is being selfish. he should only do what suits the team and not himself. even dravid in the past has kept wickets for the team(something which he not comfortable with).... so it surprises me why he is reluctant to open. its and old belief that an individual should adapt to the team and not the team to an individual.Read More

the team has been doing well, but the real test lies in pakistan. so dont jump as yet. the review was too biased and shorn of sobriety. please use better words for someone who has more than 10000 runs in odis.

So, the team has finally been selected and with it end days of speculation on whether dada will be part of it or not. The celebrations can now begin. Christmas has already arrived. That’s how big the news is for a nation, which has been mourning his exclusion. Certainly the selectors hav...Read more

i learn from ur profile that u r a ganguly fan. however let me clarify that i dont have any personal enmity with him. i cant have that when i dont know him personally. so there is no question of hating him. the problem is that when a review is written on ganguly's ouster, everyone almost invariably ...expects his own performances, merits and demerits to be discussed, which i didnt do, simply because i view this as a problem of plenty. even yuvraj has strong performances backing his selection. u cant look at the issue from the point of view of individual player. this is a team where the middle order has not been penetrated for a long time because of its quality. as a result a lot of youngsters who have done well in domestic over the years and probably were good enough to play at the int'l level never got a chance. i'm not a blind backer of yuvraj, nor do i think that its the end of the road for ganguly. its just that at the moment we have a lot of options and we should blood in the youngsters. u must not forget that in test matches ganguly has only been a decent batsman, certainly not prolific and u dont expect him to set the stadium on fire against the likes of akhtar in pakistan. in fact pressure should be applied on whoever is selected in that middle order so that no one can take his place for granted. the thing which most people r saying is that selecting him for the first two tests and then dropping him was and insult for him. i would like to say that if ganguly has played these two tests he has not done any favour for india, rather its an honour for him to be playing for his country. the question of insult or disrespect arises only when u make the player bigger than the team, which is what happens in our country. ganguly is doing well in domestic and if he keeps at it and sorts out a few things in his technique, he can well make a comeback. maybe a lot of things that i said here should have been part of my review. it was my first one, so i'll be careful nexRead More

Mr. DNA Dope, u should get a DNA test done. who knows, u might turn out to be a bro of ganguly (earlier lost in the Kumbh Mela, perhaps). but really, r u sick or what. i dont understand why people who have literally no knowledge abt how the game works try to make comments on it. why the hell should... the selectors look at it from ganguly's point of view. they r not obliged to do that. team india's performance should be the only criteria for them when selecting teams, rather than an individual players career. and u should have shown some respect for greg chappel, under whose vigilant eyes, the team's fitness levels and all round performance has really improved a great deal. one shud give credit to the man that even after such a bitter spat with ganguly, he was praising ganguly for his efforts. it clearly shows that he is completely unbiased and committed to making this team a winning unit. but still some idiots around who fail to look at the bigger picture r busy tarnishing his image. u want a reason why ganguly shud not be in the team, its pretty simple- yuvraj deserves it more than ganguly. if u fail to understand this, i would recommend u to comment on other issues and stay away from cricket.Read More

Mr. mesmerised, u truly mesmerised me. first of all u r lying when u say that u r not a fan of sourav. because only a ganguly supporter can be so blind in his support. when i said future i meant 'near future', and u must truly be insane for saying that even sachin, rahul, laxman and kumble will be r...eplaced in the future, because they r the pillars of the indian team and when their time comes to go, they will themselves call it a day. there is no question of anyone replacing them. they r irreplaceable. as for ur comments on all-rounders, u simply proved ur lack of insight into the game by saying such things. if u look around in world cricket, u will find that there r not too many all-rouders doing well. jacques kallis and chris cairns have been reduced to only batting while klusener's career came to a premature end. england r very lucky that they have one or two, but those guys truly have the physicality that the job demands. even the aussises dont have an established all-rounder. so where on earth r u. and i simply dont understand, why u guys want to retain ganguly in place of gambhir. i mean........ r u going to open the innings with ganguly or what. c'mon, let sanity prevail and accept, for god's sake, that there is no place for ganguly in the team any more.Read More
