Saurav Ganguli's omission Timely, Just and Fair . Review on Saurav Ganguly

Saurav Ganguli is well past his cricketing prime and has very thin hopes of making useful performances that can contribute to an Indian win. The decision by Kiran More & Co. is fair, just and right on the money at this moment.

The left parties and a few cricket-illiterate Bengali fanatics can say whatever, but then that's the truth. Ganguli has to perform in domestic crictet and board batches to come back.

Infact, Ganguli should look at Rahul Dravid, who has survived omission and image-stamping by mere merit, skill and will to perform and not by taking some old political monkeys from communist parties to bail him out.

If the communist parties think that this is an issue to be raised in Parliament, then my fellow Bengali countrymen, there is no more unfortunate situation to see your elected members take this trivial issue to highest stage on priority and leave the AIDS spread, poverty, illegal immegration and economic issues that affect your daily life on the back-burner.

Ganguli was a very good player and a good captain. But if he's not able to command his place on the basis of perfrmance, then he must make way for some other performer. Just by politics, blame-game and pressure-tactics, he's not doing any good to his chances and is tarnishing an already damaged reputation from previous on-field misbehaviour.

Its a heartening situation for Team India and a warning signs to the Great Sachin Tendulkar and the match-winner Anil Kumble that they cannot relax. Its a good start and I appreciate the selection panel for this bold and wise decision.
