True - Tubeless tires tend to deflate slower than tubed ones. They are also easier to repair in case it is punctured. To say that the Stepney is a useless appendage is wrong. Besides being a emergency equipment it is legally required to carry one. In Europe you can carry a tire sealant kit instead o...f a tubeless stepney and some manufacturers are doing so.Read More

This is my experience with the Volkswagen Vento. I am a prospective customer, wishing to buy the Vento Highline(P). I visited the show room at Cochin to take a look at the vehicle. I liked the look and decided to do a test drive the following day which I did. The car is on the whole was impressive, ...with regard to fit, finish and handling. The shocks felt soft and there was thud from the suspension when we hit a speed breaker. The demo car had done 3000K, and the panels were already squeaking. Pluse you have to keep the engine at about 2000 RPM plus to feel the power kick in. A few features like an Aux./ USB port for the music system, steering mounted switches etc would be missed. Besides the fact it does feel a bit cramped. The stalk swithces feel flimsy and the instrument panel very dull. Going through the features closely, I was baffled to note that the spare wheel was a 14inch steel one. The car runs on 15 inch alloys. Is this cost cutting taken to the other extent? Passing off the 14inch wheel from the Trendline variant? For a mathematically inclined person this sounds very asymmetrical and absurd. One must realise the rotation of the wheel is a function of its diameter. The bigger wheels will pull on the smaller wheel causing uneven tyre wear and upset wheel alignment. The differentials are designed to run on wheels with equal sizes.. Hot shot engineers from VW might say differently. They say the car is crafted to perfection. What is VW doing here? Read More

I think you should take FIAT and their local dealership to the Consumer Redressal Courts.

What ever you do..DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO TOUCH OR OPEN YOUR GEAR BOX. It is a peice of high precision equipment, that once opened and tampered will render it a total constructive loss. On the other hand ask them to check and modify the gear mounting struts and bushes. If it still persits replace the ...entire gear box under warranty. If they refuse build a case to take them to the consumer redressal forum.Read More

I have been driving a Ford Ikon since 2004.  It came fitted and finished reasonably well for a car in its class despite the rough edges. Great car to drive, has a punchy engine and a great gear box.  However !! The competition would say FORD is an acronym for FIX OR REPAIR DAILY,  Which is tr...Read more
