Plus points: Very good pick up. very powerful engine. Good suspensions. Good ground clearance. Splendid. Feel good when you drive it. Minus Points: No USB port. No control switches on the steering. Arm rest for driver seat is a trouble. As mentioned in the review it blocks free movement of left... hand and operating hand brake is very tough. The length and height of the arm rest should be reduced. Foldable seats will be an added advantage. In fact Linea, Verna etc are having fully foldable back seats. As jinu mentioned it is good to wait and see how the VW staff handle customers. Currently they have undertrained, unprofessional arrogant staff in their showrooms. If the same is the case with technical guys also, then spending 11 lakhs for a VW product will become a night mare for the rest of your life. They could have made the cabin a bit more spacious and taller like the Indigo Manza. Manza is the King in that aspect. Very spacious, very comfortable to get in and get out of the car. If VW add a bit more space and height and make Vento like Manza, then it will be a bigggg biggg hit. But yea they should add the features that are missing in the Highline variant.Read More

Yea giri prasad, thats what i meant too. They should redo the driver's armrest. You might have tried only one position. Push the seat back, then push the seat down (reduce height) then try using the armrest. You dont have to try using it, it starts to block your left hand. Pulling the handbrake in e...mergency is next to impossible. Highline misses some very needed and basic (being a high end) features such as No steering mounted controls, no USB connectivity for player, No option for leather seats, No foldable back seat etcetra. I believe the large hinges on the boot will be an obstruction for luggage and it may not allow you to keep large bags/suitcases etc.Read More

Thanks monty, thanks sonia arun. If the staff is showing this much attitude, they surely are not going to do good business for this car which is a c segment car. I didnt want to give them a bad mark by writing the exact details. Many people read the review so if i write more in detail about the staf...f and their cold attitude, it may not good for them.Read More

Hyundai breed is superior. Apart from these minor things since Linea is using the same Fiat engine which is used in Swift hatchback n sedan there is no chance of a doubt on the performance of the engine since its already proved. The cost of the vehicle is a bit too high especially in the present day... financial conditions. When i enquired about Linea, the only one major point of concern raised was the credibility of the brand, or rather the company. Since its Fiat, you cant be sure, otherwise the automobile should rock. That was the opinion. Why does the mass fear about the company. People say they may, one fine morning wind up business n vanish. Dont know for sure. I will wait for another 2-3 months to get real feed back on Linea before deciding on it. I would appeal to the company to use superior quality material for this kind of a price. Thats all from my side.Read More

I had driven the Swift for more than 2000 Kms, test driven Swift Dzire and Linea. Well as far as looks are concerned Swift and Dzire can never be compared to Linea. Swift and Linea are using the same engine, I was told. A few drawbacks i have found in both swift hatch back n sedan are, the upholster...y used in swift is poor quality. You can feel the springs inside the foam inside the seat when you move on the seat. The most annoying fact about swift and dzire is the back seat ride is not at all comfortable. In swift the head rest is not comfortable and in both swift n dzire, you can not stretch your legs under the front seat. A plus point in Fiesta,Linea and in Santro. Fiesta is verrrry comfortable that way. It has lot of leg room inside the cabin. Both in front and rear. So do Linea. If you choose a sedan like dzire or fiesta or linea you would obviously be wanting to have a comfortable ride in the back seat. But both swift n dzire are not capable of offering that comfort to the passenger. Inside is a bit too crammed for both the swift models. Linea by looks its pretty. Looks expensive, but on a closer look you will find that many of the materials used on the vehicle is not of that high quality. Especially the front grill. Looks classy, gives the vehicle a different look altogether. I inspected the vehicle at the showroom and realized that the grill is used of flimsy plastic. It seemed to me that if you pull it slightly or may be a bit too hard the whole thing may come off broken. Same story inside also. You will expect high quality material inside a vechile that cost around 8 lacs minimum on road. The dash board console looks expensive, but they really are not. Fiat has used flimsy low quality material to cover up joints etc. Especially the rubber beedings etc. Compare the interiors of a Santro with the new Linea, you will feel that Santro looks more expensive. The material used inside a Santro is of much superior quality, no doubt and the finish of Santro,Read More

The review was indeed very useful. I thank you for posting this review. I cant agree with Rohith at his second point. People doesnt post reviews here to show their vocabulary skills. The main thing you have missed out in this review is the MILEAGE part. That is more important since we live in India.... I had been to the middle east where Petrol is cheaper than driking water and there people fill their cars full tank, not for 500/- or 1000/- and there people are more concerned about the performance of the automobile. But back in India, we can not have the same practise. Anyways, if you have any idea about the mileage of this cute sexy tall damsel, please let me know as I am planning to buy a car. I am confused between Verna, SX4, Fiesta and Aveo. Top priority are SX4 and Verna. My friend drives a Verna CRDi and he says he is getting around 17-18 kms in city ride. I was amazed. He then should be getting above 20 on the high ways. Anyways your review was indeed a good one.Read More
