Ms. X, I can only sympatise with you. However, when we go in for Floating Rates, the risk of interest rate hike is always there. However when ever the interest rate is hiked, the bank has to advice you the same on writing. To keep you tenure to your original tenure, when even you receive notice of... Interes Rate Hike, please visit the bank and ask them to adjust your EMI instaed of increasing the tenure. About Pre-Payment charges, banks charge prepayment charges when you are transaferring the loan from one bank to another bank. If you are repaying the loan from your personal money, there will be no prepayment charges. Please read the loan agreement carefully. I think I am lucky to have the home loan from axis bank. When the loan was approved, the interest rate was 10% floating rate. With the RBI rate increase the bank revised the interest rate to 11%. Now after the RBI Rate cut they have reduced the rate to 10.75%, proactively. So I am happy.Read More

Dell - Not worth it!!

Hi Nikhil, I have ben using Dell Laptops for past 4 years and till now I have not faced any issues. The first one is Latitude D620 - Company Provided. So you will not expect any issues in company provided laptop and company hardware engineer take care of all issues. My personal one is Dell Inspiro...n 1525, 2 months old. Till now I have not faced any issues. Please see my review on the same. Again the customer care is also supportive. I installed the OS (Windows XP) myself as I bought the laptop with free Dos. I am finance professional, but able to load OS with the help of Customer Care of dell and it is perfect till now. I have also not experienced the over heating or blue screen till now. Just Check with them, it may be manufacturing defect in which case dell will replace.Read More

Hi All MS friends, I think we need to be careful of this advertisement. I can not believe that a business group like country club can improve in their entire life. I have been watching the review about country club/vaction for past few months and found some thing strange. There are 3 positive rev...iews about this group in last three months. All the reviews are from 3 new users as detailed below. I smell something fishy about it. 1. Review from ursaslam - This is new member who became a member on 16/01/2009 and posted a positive comment about country vacation. 2. Review from arjitha : Member since 05/12/2008. Positive review posted on 05/12/2008. Till now only one review that to positive about Country Vacation. 3. Shwethanaidu:- Member since 12/11/2007. Positive review on 12/11/2007. After that not a single review or diary. There are few more as well which raise some kind of alert to me. Dear Hemant, It is nice to see your views and loyality towards Satyam & Mr. Ramalinga Raju. However with deep regreat I am unable to agree with your views. There are few things that's need to be analyzed in the statement made by Mr. Raju rationally rather than with emotions. I am not a competent p...erson to talk about Mr. Raju's integrity and philonthropy activities done by him. However when you are a CEO of a company there are lot of things that are expected from you and Mr. Raju and certianly failed to leave upto the standards set by Indian CEO's. Now lets analyze the event's and tell me the rational behind it and I as well as my analyst friends are unable to find out. 1. Why he had to inflate revenues over past couple of Years? What was the motive behind doing it? Satyam used to be very good share and now it has become a scrap? Who is responsible for it? 2. If he had conscience and decided to admit to the fraud, why did he do it when the market was open? Din't he know that such a declaration during the trading hours can cause damage to the share valuation? He could have made a announcement after the trading hours are over and stock exchange is closed? Why not tuesday evening or night and wednesday morning? 3. In this way, I feel Sagar Apolo practice is good. If you visit a consultant by paying the consultancy fees and your next visit is with in 7 days from the earlier fee paid date then they will not charge the consultancy charge again.
