Your review basically sums up to say that you don't like MTV Bakra because it has started picking on the poor uneducated class. To be honest I haven't seen the show of late. But even if this is the routine these days, if the dabbah wallas, dhobis, drivers and labourers actually like the fact that th...ey've been made 'MTV Bakras' for the day, then I think its pretty pointless to take up their cause because there IS no cause. In such a scenario there would be two kinds of people - one who feels he's being victimised and terrorised just to make a TV show and get people to laugh at him. The other kind of person wouldn't mind the fact that he'd been bluffed and would be somewhat amused by the fact that he was on TV. Basically the show shouldn't air footage which the 'bakra' doesn't want them to.. there should be a well defined system in place to allow this to take place. If that is taken care of.. we shouldn't object to whoever becomes a bakra. Read More

As of now SMS from RIM to most GSM operators (Orange, Airtel, BPL) has been blocked I am told. I read something about bad business ethics here, I suppose RIM aren't the only ones being cheap. As for the review, sounds like someone is jealous.. or perhaps has vested interests in criticising what seem...s to be a good service. I think its pretty baseless and pure skepticism.. Mr. Ferrari here is right on the money.. like his namesake. Also, so what if he has a 3G phone? and why must he be Mukesh Ambani just because he's a happy customer? To top it all you don't even believe he's a customer? The phones were infact available to a number of people on... February 5th (when he wrote the review). More skepticism? (paranoia I believe) I think thats pretty childish. You seem to have a problem with MTNL, TRAI, BPL and even ATM machines.. now RIM? Perhaps you might want to make a few changes to the review.Read More

Firstly I'd like to express my sympathies for your unfortunate experience. However before you blatantly defame a product you might want to consider a few little but nevertheless vital technicalities. For instance, the reception depends on two factors, the phone is one of them, but in your case it se...ems like the fault lies not with the phone but the network operator. Secondly, I happen to like flip phones, so you're really not justifying your rating based on your personal taste. As for the cumbersome antenna, etc. some of us believe that there's more to a phone than just what it looks like.Though I dont't own this phone haven't really used it much, I find your review a wee bit hard to believe. After all Ericson is a renowned cellular phone company, and I thus find it meaningless to trust a review written by a hospital patient who used a phone within an environment which would have had the same effect on any other phone. Once again I shall take this fine opportunity to lash out at Pepsi (I just hate it dont I ?). First of all.. what the hell is AHA? Dont these people have ANY sense of imagination? What kind of ridiculous marketing strategy is this? Coke would be wise to just let this go by instead of releasing a sim...ilar product.Read More

I fully agree with most of the points you made. However, I was pretty impressed with their spoof on Lagaan called 'Maidaan'. The channel has a great deal of potential, but unfortunately its missing good creative writing for some of their shows. The VJs seem to be talented, I'm sure they're capable o...f better work. Perhaps if MTV India learned more from their Western counterparts we could see an improvement. As for the bilingual thing, I personally think they should have seperate channels for hindi and english music. Read More

The age of XP is upon us. And lo and behold, you come up with a review on Windows 98 SE? Perhaps you haven't noticed... but this is the year 2002. True, the Second Edition is newer than Windows 98 but its still based on the primitive Win 98 architecture. As for the features you listed, most of them ...were included in Windows 95! As for the stability.. I guess you've just got that one all wrong. As for the Cons you listed... What file corruption??? How could an operating system be responsible for corrupt files? Read More

I've been using Dolphin since November last year. I've been issued only ONE bill.... for the months of November/December. I dont mind if they don't bill me... but at the same time the thought of a 3 month bill on its way is pretty disturbing. I find the coverage not as good as the other operators, a...nd the customer support + services need a LOT of improvement.Read More

I know I concentrated more on Pepsi as a company rather than a drink. But perhaps some of you are missing the fact that its a DRINK!!!!! Its in your mouth for barely two seconds before you swallow it. Taste is describable, but that would be just ridiculous. Everyone knows what it tastes like. The Hi...nts at the top of the write a review page said 'What drink would you recommend instead of this one'. So not entirely my idea to concentrate on coke. Read More

I read a couple of disturbing reviews about Bakra. According to me the show is pretty good. True, no one likes being made a fool of on national television, but, its all in good spirit, I don't see why thats so difficult to bear with. They even have a section of the show where people call upon th...Read more

I'd always been tempted to buy a Tolkien book. I'd heard so much about The Lord of the Rings ever since the late 90's. Somehow I never got around to getting a copy and the curiosity that drove me to do so, eventually died out. Then came... The Movie. I first started getting all the renewed LOTR ...Read more

The Nokia 3350 isn't the sleekest, slimmest or smallest phone around these days. That honour belongs to the Nokia 8000 series. However, for those of you who think spending large 5 figure sums just for a phone isn't worth it, then this is one of the best phones you can get your hands on these day...Read more

I'd like to start with what is according to me plain and simple but true... Coke was the Original Cola drink.. and Pepsi has been and always will be.. a distant second. Well I'm SURE thats all very nostalgic.. but Coke WAS... IS... and ALWAYS WILL BE NUMBAH ONE!!!! So PEPSI can just try... try.. and try.. and well TRY.. but thats as far as it goes. Oh and about the business thanda routine on TV these days... very lame... and in very bad taste... much like the produ...ct it represents.. heheheh. Like a wise man once said... 'I walked into a store and paid Rs. 10 for a Pepsi... and after I drank it... i wondered whether it was really worth the Rs. 10... I could have easily drank water for free.. but something inside me made me think that the small bottled drink was worth my money. After half an hour I got thirsty again. So much for refreshment. Thats when I started drinking coke' heheh. No offence to all you 'weird' pepsi fans....(kidding) Cola wars are nothing but hype... but in the end all it comes down to is a matter of opinion and which appeals to you more. But coke is still better... heheheheh... (cant resist..)Read More
