Sorry to say but I am not satisfied by any of the points mentioned in this review. I have been driving my i10 kappa sportz for last 4 months now and more I drive it, the more I love it. Following points might support my statement :-
1. My neighbour and me purchased the vehicles in the same mo...nth. He has an estilo and I went for an i10. He has driven my car a couple of times and ditto for me on his. From the very first day, he feels that he has made a wrong decision and should have gone for i10 like me. He absolutely love the power it delivers. In his words,' Aisa lagta hai yeh mere niche se nikal jayagi.'
2. Interiors wise, both are class apart. i10 has one of the best interiors in any segment of the cars in India. Even better than many sedans and luxury SUVs.
3. Mileage in city varies between 14-16 kmpl and on highway, it has once delivered 19 and the other time a shade over 20.(only two instances that I have taken it on the highway)
4. Technology wise too, i10 is far better than estilo. Engine delivers 80 PS power and it goes from 0 to 100 in 13 secs. It also has a superior torque as well.
5. And driver exiting from left side is not a problem for me, as I have twice done that too. (There might be difference in body structure of the writer and me, though).
6. Looks, well they are personal issues. I love i10 even over swift.Read More

I had a test drive of A-star today....
It is completely disappointing. One fails to understand that 'How can it be compare to the hyundai i10 ?' They are class apart, be it engine, performance, looks, space, comfort, power or whatever...
Biggest drawback while test drive that I noted was the P...ower steering, it is way below the motor-driven EPS of i10...
Further, It has a shocking boot space---even smaller than India's cheapest car...
Maruti has just tried to copy the Kappa engine of hyundai by introducing all-aluminum DOHC KB-series engine, just reduced the horsepower to get fractionally higher mileage...
I am not a fan of either hyundai or maruti, though I have cars of both the companies, but when it comes to A-star----I would say it is a complete disappointment :(Read More

There might be reasons for it :-
1. You are having 1.1 L irde.
2. Your driving style.
You might just be ripping the car...Try to accelerate smoothly and brake smoothly as far as possible. Never rush between red lights. Never idle for more than 15 secs, especially ...when u r waiting for someone and not in traffic. Also try to keep engine rpm between 1500 and 2500. Use good quality fuel, not necessarily Xtrapremiun or Power. Follow these, u are bound to get better mileage :)Read More

I have so far played Audio CDs and Mp3 CDs.... Thus, I m sure about these two kinds only....But yes, it definitely wont play DVDs....
Further, Audio quality is good...Even at highest volume sound is crystal clear...But you cant compare it to the high-end SONY EXPLOD series....
A...lso to add, Sound through AUX port connected to Multimedia phones ( I tried with my Nokia N81) is still better....

Well, I think either the dealer is telling you on road price of Sportz AT(Automatic Transmission) or he is cheating you, because ex-showroom price of Sportz MT(Manual Transmission) in bangalore is 4,27,053 for solids and 4,30,665 for metallics.

Add to this the following for on road price :-
1. Insurance of 12,000 without NCB or 6,800 with NCB
2. Temporary Registration, logistics, Numberc Plate, etc. of 5,500 (approx.)
3. Permanent Registration of 14,500 with choice registration number (As in Himachal Pradesh, I dont know about Bangalore).....

I filled the petrol tank till the petrol filling pipe automatically stopped....
Then, after doing 339 kms, I repeated the process. This time fuel added was 18.03 Lts. Then, divided 339 by 18.03 to get 18.8(19) as the mileage of the car....
