Hi Vineeth, You must have got an exceptional piece to get that much mileage. Mine one is run just 2100 kms in 6 months, and gives me a mileage of 28-30kmpl only. Did complain to the workshop people at 2nd service, They added Bardahl Engine Oil Additive and Bardahl Injector Cleaner along with Oil cha...nge. The engine has become somewhat smoother and the last mileage i got is 32kmpl. Pls advise if u have some tips regarding more mileage. Regards, Dr.Abhay Shah.Read More

Its high time the people of 'Amchi Mumbai' realise that the politicians like Raj Thackarey are using the Marathi Culture /people for their own personal gains. BPL Mobile has indeed deteriorated. And what do u mean by 'Mujhe koi BPL se bachao...' Its that u have opted for BPL and not BPL is after u. Just go ahead n deactivate ur connection dude. Go for Vodafone, cos Airtel has Billing Issues. And once u start any VAS on Airtel, u just cant deactivate the V...AS. Airtel is known for it. Regards, Abhay. Read More

Dear Snehal, This policy of BPL Mobile is ridiculous. Even i have faced the same. However from that time i paid an excess of money so that now i always get relief for 3-4 months with my bill showing credit every month. The other alternative is to auto-debit the bill amt from ur credit card or bank ...account every month so that the situation may not arise. Well, which service provider have u switched over to? hope its not Airtel. I wanted call conf facility on my bpl no. Visited the gallery and told them. The reply which i got was very much shocking. I was not eligible for the call conf facility as my connection was only 2 months old and also because i had STD facility activated. Either u get STD or Call Conf. I told that on my Vodafone no. call conf facility is free but they said that i would be given call conf only after 6 months of my connection and that too for a monthly rental of Rs.99/- Also my STD wud be deactivated at that time. I requested them to take some deposit and activate it but they flatly refused. These BPL Mobile people really dont know how to do business. Regards, Dr.Abhay Shah. Read More

Hi there, i along with my wife visited Subhiksha outlet in Mulund West in Mumbai some 10 days back. This was shortly after they started advertising about the Mangoes at the best rates. However we found that the mangoes which are priced at Rs.100-120 per dozen in the local market, were priced at Rs.1...90 per dozen at Subhiksha. God, what an innovative way to cheat the consumer.Read More

I am from Mumbai. I have a Santro Zip Plus and have installed BEDINI CNG kit 4 months back. The car is giving me 16.5 to 17.5 kms per kg of Gas in 100% city driving with AC on all the time and 20 to 21 kms per kg of Gas on long highway routes. I didnt install LAMBDA CONTROL SYSTEM as it costs Rs.10...,000/-. Instead the dealer asked me to install a TIMING ADVANCE PROCESSOR UNIT which works somewhat similar to Lambda control system and costs just Rs.2,000/-. All for the total cost of Rs.39,500 including the RTO passing charges. I am extremely happy for my decision which saves me a hell lot of money as compared to Petrol bills. Dr.Abhay ShahRead More

Hello Mr.Padmanabha, I have driven the Scorpio Euro III CRDe last week. Its far far much better than the Euro 2. The initial torque and pick up which u get on just pressing the accelerater is just amazing. It behaves just like a petrol SUV. And the engine is very very silent. Its a totally differen...t experience driving the Scorpio Euro III CRDe. I bet u will change over to Scorpio CRDe once u take a test drive. Regards, Dr.Abhay. Read More

I do not agree with the statement that once the engine has been opened, the car loses its resale value(unless u tell the buyer about it), and that the car is not fit for long routes.(unless u dont take proper care of the car's maintenance) I personally believe that the engine head gets worn out onl...y after driving thousands of kms and not in just 5000 or 15000 kms.(unless the car is a diesel car and the timing belt is broken or slipped due to any reason) And even if the head is worn out after thousands of kms, it can be dealt with proper grinding the valves and other components of the head and using oversize parts (if u want to continue with the same car). And your is a petrol car and was a case of manufacturing defect, and not a worn out head due to heavy usage, so i assume that the new head replacement will definately solve ur problem. Just look into the other possibilities and take ur car to a good reputed service centre. Regards, Dr.Abhay Shah.Read More

Dear Amartya, U have a 2004 Maruti Wagon R which is a Euro 2 vehicle. A Euro 2 car's engine is managed by sensors which send signals/data to the computer chip (ECU). Now, since the company has replaced the head, i assume the problems which u r facing now might not be due the new head but may be du...e to any 1 or all of the following: 1) Clogged petrol filter which may cause engine knocking, missing, low pick up, low average. i advise u to change it. 2) Take ur car to another reputed authorised service station and have a different mechanic/opinion. sometimes some service stations have so much cars for services that they just cannot give ample time to your car. 3) Check the Engine Timing, Engine sensors, ECU, spark plugs, spark plug cables. 4)Also change the petrol pump where u always fill petrol and switch over to premium fuels like Speed(91 Octane) or Speed 93 or Power(91 Octane) or Power 93. A bad quality petrol may sometimes cause the above problems. 5) Get the Air filter element cleaned/replaced. 6) Use good quality engine oil. I would advise u to go for Castrol GTX Magnatec. 7) You can even ask the Authorised service centre supervisor/mechanic to give u a private service. He will do ur job privately in the workshop or at your residence and charge u some fees. But this way he is responsible and answerable to u and he will devote complete time to your car, find out the fault and rectify it. I always do this for my Indica. 8) If all the abovesaid measures fail, then consider selling of ur car immediately to avoid further headaches. The positive point in ur case is that ur car is a 2004 make and Wagon R has a pretty good resale value. Remember: Every problem in a car can be rectified and solved, provided u get real good people with knowledge. Regards, Dr.Abhay Shah. Kindly let me know the progress. Read More
