UPDATE ON NOV 2008 ( after 1 and half year The above review was added when I bought the car in June 2007. Now I can proudly say that I am a happy customer of Sx4 after one and half year and the car has already driven 16000 km. Here are some points in brief. ->The performance of the car is j...ust as good as when it was the day I bought. I have made many long journeys and there is absolutely no change in the quality of the engine, plastic and other interior parts and the body. No rattling noice and absolutely no much wear and tear noticed till date. This man ( sx4) never disappointed me. I have gone upto 140 kmph of speed in my recent trips to GOA, Vizag etc.. ( mostly national highways) and the car is very stable beyond 140 too. I did not try more than this speed due to safety measures. -> The mileage has been constantly around 10 kmph in the city and 13 to 14 on the highways. -> The ABS is a real plus point which is a visible safety feature. Within a few meters, I could bring my car from 120 to 20 kmph on highways without any jerks. -> I have got body kits ( sold exclusively for Sx4 by Suzuki) installed few months ago and the car looks even more sportier than earlier. I have been using sx4 since June 2007 and till date i did not get any such rattling or sound problems. I am happy user and I never regretted my choice. mileage is not too bad it gives me 10 in horrible hyderabad roads. Now Honda city comes with Airbags and ABS after 10 years of their entry into India . Doesn't it tell us that they grabbed all indian's money left and right for so m...any years? kgkaran, you have to improve in English. Your comments has some spelling mistakes ,, interios, bland..etc. You may be liking Verna because you have purchased it. But it is not correct to throw statements like 'SX4 pickup screwed up and has ugly interiors' . Sx4 is the best product and comes with... several safety features like ABS , EBD and dual airbags. And many others like 16 inch alloy wheels, climate control, largest boot space and so on. It gives me mileage of 10 in the horrible city traffic. People from Chennai reported that it is giving 12 to 13 in Chennai city and its depends on the city traffic. You do not find them in any other car in this segment. I have been using Sx4 since two months and it gives superb pleasure in driving. Just drive Sx4 in highways and drive Verna , you will find the stability. As others are saying 'Hyunda doesn't sell well in the international market' , they always make third class products no doubt about it. Initially Hyundai cars run better but they start showing problems after 30K km. My uncle's Accent starting giving many problems after he drove for 25K. Engine noice has gone up. Mileage was down. Lot of sounds etc.. Finally he got frustrated and sold it off for very lesser price. Are you working as marketing executive for Hyundai :). Somebody said that Honda city build quality is good. No, its not. City is like toy. If becomes unstable in the highways if you cross 100 kmph speed. City is a good car but not value for money. Since long time Honda looted indian market by charging extra premium amount without any safety features. At the same time they sell similar product in other asian countries with lesser price and more features. Now their sales dropped down due the release of sx4 . At least they realize now. Sx4 is taller, longer, wider, heavier , safer , faster, Sturdier, Stronger, than any other car in that segment and can be comparable to Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic in terms of Safety and leg space.Read More

This guy's review is hilarious. He does not know how to write a review or I think he never had read other's reviews. He does not even know how to choose a car and he comments on world class japanese cars like Honda. He picked up a frog from the well which had just jumped when he looked without ...looking deeper into the well to see if there is a better frog in there. He also overlooked a new frog called SX4. But he is right in one statement 'Hyundai is Hyundai , Honda is Honda'. Hyundai is a good for nothing korian company and produces low class cars which fail after 30K KM. My friend's Santro's engine burnt on road and crank shaft failed after he drove it for 25k km. Epic means mahabharatha and Car means from Japan/Germany.Read More

I too always try to love whatever car I buy. It's a required self-psychological treatment :))) But we should also accept the facts. The fog lamps of Honda city costs around 19K bucks where for sx4 they are not going to cost more than 10K according to dealer. See how much difference. Honda is a goo...d brand car producer and Honda city is a proven sedan . But I am trying to emphasis on the point 'what are we getting from the amount we spend on car' is very important in India'. shedbal is right. Sx4 is giving good mileage in some cities like Chennai . Vikashv , I compared old Zen with city zx only in terms of power. One fine day I test drove city gxi , and sat in my zen. I felt zen has equally good with city zx in terms of power. You are attacking maruti left and right but you need observe one fact.They are good at making cars for a middle class ...people and they always provided products value for money ( I too agree that some of their models including new zen estilo are good for nothing ). For example if you consider what you are getting for money you spend on car...here it goes... Toyota corolla top model and Honda civic comes with dual airbags and ABS for 12+ lacs which is premium segment. Suzuki had come closer to the hearts of many by providing all these features in segment less than 10 lacs and its not a joke, which is the major reason for Sx4 to become a super hit!!!. Do you know that few years ago old Honda city used to cost more than 10 lacs without any safety features ? They remodeled it and reduced the price little but still with no safety features. Since many years all these MNC car manufacturers looting Indian customers by charging extra premium amount by dumping either low profile models with less safety or too exorbitant price with few safety features. At the same time they release similar models in other countries with more feature and lesser prize. Honda city is available in Malaysia, Singapore and other southeast countries with ABS, airbags and other options for less than 8 lacs price. I still don't understand why they took India for granted. Why Honda does not sell small cars India unlike they do in Europe and Americas ? They don't, because they want to cash their brand value in this third world country as long as possible until their brand value fades. Another Jap's manufacturer 'Suzuki' providing us small cars at a reasonable price with very good after sales service for the last two decades. Mr.Vikashv, I have done exactly same calculation that you did before buying this car. You should compare Sx4 vxi with Honda city exi. Not with sx4-zxi. Honda city exi costs 7.8 on road in hyderabad and sx4-vxi costs 6.9 approx the diffference is 90k. City vtech costs 1.3 laks more than sx4-zxi.... I generally drive 10000 km per annum. Sx4 takes 1000 liters of petrol at rate of 10 kmpl. costs 50,000 p.a. Vtech gives 12 (as heard from dealer ) in Hyd, so, it consumes 834 liters and costs 41667k p.a. Annual difference between two = 8400 approx. Total number of years sx4 takes to break even with city vtech for me = 130000/8400 = 15 years. Do you think I use sx4 so long ? Even if you consider sx4-zxi with city exi it takes nearly 8 years to break even. One more important point. The maintenance cost of Honda City is higher than Sx4 . If you also consider that then you are actually saving more money with Sx4. BTW, One of my friends using City-GXI manual transmission. He is getting 11 kmpl in Hyderabad :(((((Read More

I understand that you had a bad experience with Swift but how could you come to conclusion that Sx4 will be same too ? Generally testdrive vehicles are driven by many people so they will not be in a go...od condition. To be frank I have used maruti zen for 4 years and still in good condition until I sold it off recently. I wonder how can you rate a product with just a single test drive ? They fall below one lac within next six months.Sony lcd flat tv produces sharper and clearer image compared to Samsung. This i...s my observation in a showroom. Samsung is reasonably good. I haven't heard of 'color spots' in my research. I think that will happen in LCD Tvs ( known as dead pixels ), not in projection ones. The screen that you see in lcd projection TV is just a glass shield similar to silver screen that we see in movie theatres.The picture is just projected on this shi...eld. Unless there is a problem in the internal projection, I do not think there will be any such spots form on this sheet technically. This may happen in lcd projectors because there are prone to accumulation of dust particles. I will try finding out more info on this.Read More
