Hmm Actually, I don't really believe there are solutions forthcoming just because there is a crisis in the making. Not to be a total cynic and just bandy our country's name around, but as far as my experience goes, India hasn't been one to take really pro-active measures to counter problems which re...quire urgent attention. Take a look at the road infrastructure in the metros, the water crisis affecting some really large cities, the massive power crisis affecting most major cities and the quality of mass transport.
I think city planners and the other govt boffins really need to examine the infrastructure planning and deployment in the West. They have TONS to learn from their counterparts in the developed world (need not be the US, which incidentally is a big pile of slag right now :P).Read More

True Hi mate,
Your concerns are very valid. Pune went from a nice little town where driving was a pleasure to a bustling city suffering from immensely congested roads and lung-corroding pollution. Places like Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi and Bangalore WILL NOT be able to manage a sudden increase in the... amount of traffic. As far as I know, I am not aware of any ground-breaking changes when it comes to infrastructure in any of the metros... and we will need exactly that to cope with the Nano. Driving in India will be akin to Dante's ninth circle of hell if nothing is done before the release of the Nano.Read More

Movie was very good in my opinion. Haven't watched many Hindi movies in last few months because the 'Bollywood fare' being churned out while I was in India was absolute tripe. Saw Ghajini and RNBDJ one after the other and they scarred me for life. Luck By chance was a pleasant break and I quite like...d it. Methinks Isha Sharvani is one of the prettiest actors in the industry and she does have brain cells in abundance (saw a couple of interviews). Sadly, being a pretty face in B'wood relegates you to the 'ditsy chick' roles.Read More

Dude, seriously, I wrote about my experiences. So you really needn't diss my report.
Anyway, I have absolutely no idea as to how the condition is now. I'm enjoying a connection of 20mbps with a latency (to google) of around 50ms. ;) India has a long way to go when it comes to internet service.

Things are gonna change then. Cust care is very responsive. They generally try to rectify the problem within a couple of hours of you making a complaint. Also, speeds vs price is excellent. I am really cursing my luck. It sucks to go to 256K from 386K. Good luck dude. :D

Agree wholeheartedly. This is an excellent connection. amazing latency, great speeds (384Kbps), excellent customer service all at a very very reasonable price. By far the best ISP if u're looking for an unlimited connection.
