LIC is facing an employee crisis and not a financial crisis. The development officers of LIC went on a nationwide strike and this has damaged LIC's business severely. LIC is still the strongest financial institution in india and it has the best claims payment percentage so there is no issue of short...age of funds. BUt if the LIC top bosses donot solve the issues of development officers and their agents then LIC may suffer even greater blows in the days to come. But now there are strong rumours that the top bosses and the development officers have agreed to negotiate and so the issue will certainly be solved.Read More

After reading your review I can say just one word - VOW ! Superb Review. Your thought process is simply marvelous and you have a nice way of putting up ur thoughts. I agree with you on all counts, whether the positive side or the negative side of LIC. I hope some of the company officials read your r...eview and get some brains after reading it. Honestly even if people say that LIC agents are bad and things like that, i have never faced any problem with LIC agents though i dont have any fixed agent for LIC. All that i can say is that LIC should train them well so that they understand their job better. But again, if LIC has more than 10 lac agents as you mentioned then it is hell of a job to train them. Regarding LIC's position as the number one financial instituion of India, i feel that the earlier Head Honchos had better commitment towards building the image of LIC. If today LIC sponsors something like Zee Cine Awards then i can say that it is either waste of money or some kind of corruption. Hope such things done happen in future.

Hey JCB, even i feel that Hyundai Motors India have lowered their standards. This is very apparent when you compare the earlier XS variant with todays XO variant, both of which are top end variants. The quality of plastics and upholstery have also detiorated. But i think the santro is a better perfo...rmer as far as engine refinement and gear-box is concerned. The company also claims that the ERLX engine delivers better mileage. But what you said is true, lots of choices for the indian middle class. Hi JCB, after a long time i read a really emotional and touching review on MS. People often treat their bikes like ordinary machines. I agree with you when u say that bikes should be treated with respect. I believe that some bikes protect their owners and some bikes are accident prone, they often ca...use injury to their riders. Yah, this guy is an agent of HDFC. Hey man dont downgrade an institution like LIC which has been trusted by all indian citizens. HDFC is also a good company but not comparable to LIC. i think the author of this write up and the author of LIC's fiasco are representatives of some private insurance company, most probably ICICI because such cheap tactics of tarnishing the name of LIC can be only their game !

I fully agree that LIC is the Trusted by Millions. the comments by the two readers seem to be biased ! LIC is infact most linient in settling claims and it is indeed necessary to prove that you are alive when you visit an Insurance company to collect your claim. Now this is common sense man, u just ...need to have your identity proof to show that you are the same guy who was insured.Read More
