ICICI - Identity Crisis. Review on ICICI Prudential Life Insurance

ICICI - Jack Of All Trades, Master Of None ! This is the sorry state of ICICI. Today the problem with ICICI is that they are facing identity crisis. In India, a Car means MARUTI, Toothpaste means COLGATE, Insurance means LIC, housing loan means HDFC and Utter Chaos means ICICI. Today ICICI is trying to play every possible game in the field, so much so that even the Chairman of ICICI has forgotten what its Core Business is . ICICI in my understanding is Industrial Credit And Investment Corporation Of India. But is it doing anything in this field ? NOPE, instead it doing everything else besides this ! But one thing that I really appreciate about ICICI and its management is their ATTITUDE, they live like Emperors. But to whom does this money belong to ? And one more thing worth admiring about ICICI is the way they handle the Press and the Media. They have the best of relations with the press and no one ever dares to print anything against this Institution. Times Of India Group is their best ally. Every day there is some coverage about ICICI and an interview of a Top Executive of ICICI, but someday someone should publish the Profit/Loss statement of all their group companies and the reality will come into picture. Even today I would trust SBI, LIC and UTI with my money. But for taking a loan, it will always be ICICI, because it gives loan to anybody and everybody !
