piyush4444, my review is neither discouraging Ritz nor encouraging i10. It shows some points that can be considered before taking a decision. As you said I am still confused between the two. I am just waiting for the mileage feed back of Ritz. If it give >15 with AC in city, I will go for it ...as I heard i10 gives only 11-13 in the same condition. Different i10 owners give different mileage figures is also confusing. Somebody is getting >16kmpl even! Any how, as per ARAI, i10 mileage is better than Ritz (18.06 as against 17.7 of Ritz) Read More

csrinivaskgf, who told u the nonsense that Ritz engine is the most fuel efficient? As per ARAI, Ritz gives 17.7 and i10 gives 18.06 KMPL. Check this website- http://www.hyundai.co.in/i10leads/pop/main_pop.html Santro's mileage is not bad. It is equal to that of Wagon R. When Santro was introd...uced, Maruti people were forced to withdraw their Zen. When they re-introduced it as Zen Estilo, it became a supper flop. A-star is another supper flop. Ritz is of course a supper star but what I said is Maruti must improve the interior quality and must give more features. If I am getting tiger biscuit for my review, u might have got a packet of pan for writing your comment.....!!!! Read More

Thanks for the review kamalbigala. Happy to know the mileage. But I dislike ritz and like i10 mainly because of the interiors. I wish if Maruti had imporved in this area....!!!

Kindly confirm the mileage with A/c in city after first service. If it is >15, it is grate.

You say that I10 is offering heavy discount just to sell out it. That is what maruti is also doing. WagonR and Estilo is giving a discount of 40,000, A-star is giving 25000 etc. 3lakh i10s are sold within 16 months and no other car has achieved this record. I think all those 3 lakh people are ...mad and you are the only one in senses!!!!!!! You are arguing for maruti as religious fanatics are arguing for their religion!!!!!!!! Read More

When is Maruti going to dispose its 'Bad plastics' and gloomy interiors? Decorated exteriors and not decents interiors.

But mahiyar, I think I10 hit THE FASTEST THREE LAKH SALES RECORD with in a short period of one and half year. Swift was sold 3 lakh only in 4years (45 months). See also that I10 was launched only in October, 2007 but Swift was launched May 2005, 2 years earlier to I10. I think, if I10 was launch...ed at the same time of swift, it would have affected swift’s sales even worse. No doubt, Swift sold like hot cakes, but sales record shows I10 sold much better. joysec1, I am sorry for the wrong information given. I will correct it in a while. Anyhow I got this information from an old brochure of I10. Most probably they might have changed the specifications latter, when they reduced the price. Thank you very much for the corrections.

I neither encourage I10 nor discourage Ritz. If I10 looks like a BED BUG, Ritz looks like a SITTING FROG from back. Both have pros and cons. Both company sell grate features but at “DIFFERENT RATES”. This is what I was trying to point out.

To fix front power windows, a customer has to pay minimum of Rs. 5000. But for the company, it would have costed only 1/10 of it because they take it in a bulk of ten thousands or lakhs. So, it is a minor issue for the company to fix such things. They could have add that extra price to the cost of t...he car. Why they did not do so? THEY WANT TO MAKE A MARGINAL DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LXI AND VXI. A ‘deluxe’ customer who lured into these minor luxuries will end up in buying a VXI by paying an extra 60,000 . OK, it is a business trick but doesn’t it sound too ‘money minded’?Read More

My intention with this review is to show what the Ritz offers with 4.18 lakhs and what I10 offers with 4.11 lakh which is Rs.7000 less than that of Ritz. (Rs. 411284/-quoted by Smara Hundai on 20/6/09). Forget all LXi,Vxi classification. See what features they offer with what price. CUSTOMERS ARE MA...INLY CONCERNED WITH PRICE RANGE AND FEATURES RATHER THAN WITH LXI AND VXI. I10 Magna offers the following features which Ritz misses even in a higher price range. Central locking Body coloured OVRM, Handles Full wheel cover Tilt steering 4 Power windows Rear parcel tray Vanity mirrors etc. Punto 1.2L Active (base model) with in the same price range gives tilt adjustable steering, front power windows, rear parcel shelf, seat belt warning and a few extra but decent features like fire prevention system. I did a lot of study about Ritz because I wanted to buy one. I am extremely choosy and make lot of studies to take a purchase decision. I want ot tell you something which nobody told you. Very comfortable car but the basic model (Lxi) lacks some good features like keyless entry, audio control on steering, co-driver seat under tray etc. Slightly awkward back. It can be compared to i10 or i20? Maruti people say that it should be compared with i20 and A-star should be compared to i10.
