Great...Please call it as hatch back. Mileage of 16kmpl in city is impossible in this car.With that unnecessary heavy tyres, it cant give more than 11-12 kmpl in city driving conditions.

Pulsars is a good family. I do agree with that, but they are not as reliable as Unicorn. It really sounds funny that, you are not happy with the handling of Unicorn, may be you have not come acorss the pros in unicorn yet !!!!!

Problem 2: For example, when you are travelling at a speed of 60kmph and because of some obstacle, if the speed drops to 40 - 50 kmph, you can not shift the gear comfortably below 4th, because, i feel it is natural that when your bike speed is at the speed of 40-50 kmph, you can not easily bring the... gear down smoothly below 4,3,2 &1 just like that in any bike, even though you are holding the clutch. Even though you try to do it, the gear box of any bike creates huge sounds...What i mean to say is, i understood your problem, you can not simply down shift the gear to the levels 3,2,1 unless you reduce the wheel speed to atleast 20 kmph.....Read More

Problem 1: I faced this issue many times, but resolved with the CHOKE funda. I used to get just one or two jerks and notmore. Anyway, everything will be so good after that just a couple of jerks.
Problem 2 & Problem 3 : May be these are specific to fews bikes only. i have never faced these two pro...blems.

@arjunb30: i am using unicorn from 2 years. everyday when i start the bike for first time, i will pull the choke and button start the bike and then close the choke after 10 seconds. Thatz it, from then onwards, i need not worry about anything for that day. Everything is going smooth and good. Dont you have any other honda dealer in your city? where are you from? I agree that, service people may not be that much good. But this issue is with every other 2W companies also, not with honda alone. When ever i give my unicorn to service center at honda in bangalore, it always used to come back ...as a new engine with excellent performance. I am staying in Bangalore from 6 years. The only point that i consider in the review is '10 months advance'. Remaining all are your personal experiences. Paying 10 months advance is really painful in bangalore, i do agree for that. Rest of the issues are common in every city. All cities have wider r...oads and lean roads. May be, Chennai have more wider roads. Traffic is heavy, but i have never struck in any major traffic jam in my 6yrs in bangalore. There will be little bit of congestion in every traffic signal during peak hours, itz common, because of more 4 wheeler usage. BMTC is one of the best transport corporation in india running in profits, where as APSRTC sucks to the core. Which transport company can run these many expensive VOLVO vehicles in india????, giving lot of comfort to those who are willing to use public transport. I also dont have any problem with any auto wala till now. I use auto minimum twice in a week. I will just bargain once and proceed.
Anyway, people who dont like any city are welcome to go out of that city. No one can stop anyone.Read More

I feel sorry for those, who had bad experiences in Bangalore. I am staying here from 6 years and i have never come across any kind of bad situation and even i have not learnt atleast 1% of kannada language. I am managing with my mother tounge (telugu) only in bangalore comfortably. People of bad att...itude do exist across the country and in every city. Because of some bad experiences, no one can blame or confirm that, a particular city or state or region is bad to live..

Using choke every day once, when you start the engine for first time in the day is good and is recommended for better performance.

@sbrmani: i completely agree with u buddy...........zero vibrations even at the speed of 100 kmph and the engine is dead silent.....when ever i drive my unicorn with helmet, i am not able to hear my engine sound at all.....where as in other bikes, the eingine shouts like anything as higher speeds an...d also huge vibrations at break pedal and handle etc.........HONDA rocks....Read More

try to check other 150cc bikes driving above 80...no bike gives you more than 30 kmpl...becoz itz unicorn, u got 40......riding a bike on highways and on long rides doesnt mean that, twisting the throttle in full...try the speed of 60 kmph on unicorn and GS 150 R, u will get brilliant mileage.....

My unicorn is now almost 5 months old and the odo reading is 2000 kms which is much less than average use and it is on due for third service in 10 days..Everything going on well from my unicorn s...ide...same smooth pickup and good mileage of 52 kmpl. Except the issue of disk brake sound, there is no other issue to be mentioned and i am planning to inform about the disk sound to the service centre in the third service. Whenever the signal is green, i am the first one to ''Wrooom.....''.

@murtaza5253: You need not think about ur decision........itz a very wise one..once u get ur beast delivered, dont exceed the speed 50kmph with RPM not beyond 4000 for first 500 KM and dont exceed the speed 60 kmph with RPM not beyond 5000 for the next 500 KM.. so that u need not worry abt the milea...ge and the engine for rest of ur life....................Read More

GS150R is also a good bike...but it has body quality issues and the bike accumulates lots of rust and it wont happen in Unicorn...and so the built quality is one of the reasons for itz dearer price....

@mr_bean_82: Now i have clear details of that sound...i am able to feel that sound, when i am trying to pull the vehicle in second or third gears in traffic....so do u have any idea wheather that sound is from engine or chain....
