Thanks for comments. Ground clearance is not a problem. Since suspension of punto is too soft sometimes car gorund clearance may dip a little . If you drive carefully over potholes, you will never face a problem
You are right, car is slightly slow in first two gears but its a de...mon once hits 3rd.

Get your facts right. ARAI result shows 19.8 for FIAT 1.3 MJD. NIK 1985 drives through NOIDA to ROHINI and which has a good long empty stretch. This kind of avarage is quite possible, not every time but fewer times

Very sorry to hear about car. But this kind of gliches one might have to face with any brand. you must communicate to FIAT directly. In some other review, a reviewer from Kolkata has done that and FIAT had sent their engineer at his doorstep. Also it was not wise to leave your brand... new car stranded overnight, FIAT comes with road side assistence service which works 24x7 basis , Or you could have taken help of your friend having a car to tow the car to a safe place.

I recommend you to go to DRIVEN at Greater Kailash. THA475 will cost you some 7000 and wire harness @6000
change your speakers to Rainbow comps some 8000
if you take amp from balupunkt directly it will be very costly (16K).

Hi Nikhil,
Great review. I also own a multijet 1.3 Emotion and getting 17-18. Its very pleasing to hear from a user which has done 18000 KMs. No doubt about ride quality of this italian beauty.
Since i am an audiphile, i am not very happy with stock blaupunkt audio. Quality of speakers sucks.

Hi Abraham,
Great review. Your view really proves that punto has the best ride quality among current hatchbacks since you have driven almost all brands. I had fallen for its smooth ride only.
I have a 1.3 MJD diesel and hope it's clutch does not get stuck . It was very cold in delhi so i have n...ot been able to test the AC. Nowadays i use A/c little bit and found OK. Real test will be in May - June only. Here in Delhi's summer most of the a/c systems of the almost every car feels less effective. Lets see , how it handles .Read More

Choose whatever suits you. Do not just buy a car because it gives you 1-2 km more milage but consider other factors too. Buy a diesel only when you drive more than 1800 KM a month otherwise it will be costlier than petrol. Punto is a good option if you like to spend few thousand more... on looks , comfort and sturdiness.Read More

Welcome to Club Fiat. You have chosen a nice car , you will not regret ever. It will be interesting to know what compelled you to choose this car over popular Swift.
Taste of music is like a dish or a recipe, some will like while some may got turn off. There is absolutely no problem in ...functioning, But i did not liked the quality of sound . I am a music enthusiast and very much fond of rock ,jazz and heavy metal. Listening a music without adequate bass is like eating a food without salt.
If you are happy with the sound then nothing like it but believe me, even a cheap music system with moderate quality of speakers sound far better then one provided in such an expensive hatch.
There are several music enthusiasts like me who had either replaced the speakers or added a sub woofer and amp . For your reference :

Part of the problem is underpowered speakers which fails to deliver bass. Also mids are very loud.
Blaupunkt system also laks power. It has a power rating of 30 W peak RMS power while any aftermarket system at least has 50 watts per channel.
I am planning to replace the components with JBL or Rainbow and put a THA475 AMP

Dear poeticbunny, i totally agree with piyu_d . i have driven Alto for 7 years and during winters only it gave 14-15 KMPL in city drive. In summers with A/C on it hardly touches 12 in Delhi.
Do not expect more than 10 from such a heavy vehicle. Mileage in not the only criteria of a car.
your fiat ...scores over suzukis and hyundis in ride quality, safety, handling and comfortable drive. if someone is happy driving a tin can which gives 14-15 KMPL all the best to him.Read More
