I am an old hand at punto. I bought my Punto emotion petrol in Nov.2009. 14 months are over since I started driving it. So I am old enough to say something about the car.
First the negatives: In the first 9 months itself it gave me two serious problems. The first was a knocking sound from the rear. It turned out to be a defective shock absorber.
Before, long in very heavy traffic, the clutch got stuck. The car would not move. The traffic police men had to help me to push it out of that not so proud moment. I really cursed myself for buying a Fiat at that moment. Remember, all these while this car was driven in the best possible road available in india.
Now the positives. Both these instances , Concorde Motors, Sanath Nagar , Hyderabad had done wonderful job. I do not agree with any body who says that Fiat service is bad. It as good as any other brand in India. In both cases they rectified the defects without any cost to me.This is my 7th car in my life.
I have driven Maruti, Volksvagon Beetle, Pugeot 504, Indica etc since 1978. But this car is a dream to drive. Its road holding capacity is amazing. It hugs the road. and its ride is extreamly smooth. The AC is only adequate.And looks like a beautiful art creation. As another reviewer said you buy it with your heart. In April I am planing for a long drive of about 1200kms one way. I will let every body know how it behaved.
