Rajiv, Well you are bang on; after a month of being a proud owner of a 'Era'; i am ready to trade it for a Magna any given time. The reason i did not bought a Magna was the wrong impression of getting these things (Parcel tray for example) done from the street market which are a lot cheaper than O...EM and also reduce the tax component also. Anyways, as i mentioned earlier in this review - Penny Wise, pound foolish is my condition as of now; Recap- Buy a Magna always - ERA should be discontinued no sense cluttering the customer's mind.Read More

Gouri, You are bang on the target; the increased turning radius of i-10 disappoints veteran users of Santro (as i have to witness it everyday parking my new i-10 in my apartment basement) Also disappointments are the features available in the ERA Model 1) lack of Parcel Tray - Showroom does not ...sell parcel tray 2) Side moulding which cannot be bolted, but glued/pasted 3) Rear windows which can never be made 'power' from manual as of now. First one was NOT told to us be the sales-man while buying and i really blew up when i was delivered the car as i positively need to have a parcel tray. Maybe it was primarily 'penny-wise, pound foolish' approach. Net Net - Dont go for ERA, MAGNA is 24K expensive but avoids all of the hassle later on.Read More

All, i guess this is what Honda India is!! I had another bad experience while trying to contact Honda for a alternate vehicle. We contacted Dhruvesh Honda and we were literally asked to 'Take-a-Hike', when we asked for multiple payment options. I was willing to pay them upfront for an honda activ...a scooter, but wanted a confirmed delivery date in writing and a penalty clause thrown in. Guess what, one angry looking Keralite forced me and my pregant wife outside the showroom, since they cannt promise me anything. Within half-an hour later, i was a proud owner of a new Kinetic 4S scotter with my payment options. Guess what, HONDA.. you lost another customer for life (i was planning to upgrade from my small santro to City post the July 31st IT rush.. i guess i will settle for a Baleno now...or maybe an old corolla)... Santro...BUT !!!

Mr. Rana, Couple of things which i came into my mind, when i say your review. the production lot of Santro during March 2000- June 2000 had some problems (reverse gear was one of them). I also own a July 2000 LE model and i dont have any problem except the rear suspension issue. I also advice... everyone to let the car stop completely while reversing, and then change the gear into forward. This does not spoils the rear light switch and also help the gearbox (though santro has synchromesh gears, blah, blah... but out of practise i do it.) maybe that would help you.Read More
