I am in the market for bigger car and I am in the process of selecting from the wide range of cars and Utility vehicles.
I had the misfortune of selecting the Honda for my first attempt. My wife and I both liked the new looks of the Honda City and wanted to test drive it first.
First of all there is a problem to locate the dealership and get the contact numbers in Bangalore, after google-ing for sometime I got the reference to Whitefield Honda on Mouthshut. A few clicks later, I landed up on the whitefield Honda web page.
First thing I learnt was that the corporate office is in whitefield, its so damn far from the city and it is in itself discouraging. They also have a city office on Miller road.
So I decided to call the miller road office. The sales person, who attended my call was to put it mildly - not courteous. He was preoccupied in his own world and didnt even have the patience to listen to me....He kept on telling me that he is the only person around and he has a customer in front of him. Which I found hard to believe as there was zero background noise.
After much digging for info, I found out that they do not have any test drive facility in the millers road office and I will have to go to Whitefield in order to see the car.
Just this info and he asked me for my contact number so that he can call be back...its about two days now and I am not expecting a call from Whitefield Honda.
The callous, uninterested attitude of the salesperson horrified me...I decided to spend the rest of the day looking at other manufacturers..and believe me I had a great Experience....especially at India Garage, where in spite of being closed and the staff all out for the weekend, the Asst GM, personally took the trouble to open the dealership and explain me the features of the Scorpio!
Now I know...technology and global presence might get you an enquiry, what seals the deal is the quality of interaction with people...who make all the difference.
