Your conscience is your true guide
Since the time immemorial satanic forces are constantly at work to pervert and seduce man from the right path, the path told and shown by the thousands of prophets sent by God in different nations to guide them and help them combat the forces of evils, who are hell-bent to lead him astray. The messengers of God with the help of the holy books and scriptures revealed on them conveyed the message of God to their respective nations. Despite all this, many went astray because they failed to listen and oblige the voice of their conscience. Even the divine message will have no effect whatsoever on those whose conscience does not prick them when they commit sin or something unethical.
Our conscience, though feeble and easily suppressible, does prick us and condemn us whenever we resort to evil ways, setting aside our religious teachings and moral and ethical values. It never fails to warn us of disastrous consequences of evil deeds. It rebukes us and makes us feel guilty and ashamed when we do something indecent and immoral with impunity. Fortunate are those who pay heed to its timely warning and stay away from satanic temptations. They give their conscience due importance and weigh their deeds or actions on the criterion of what their conscience says. With their conscience being on their side to guide them, they hardly need any other guidance to lead a successful life herein and the Hereafter. All our prophets, great saints and pious people have given much consideration to their conscience and have acted upon accordingly.
