WHAT'S HAPPENING THIS DIWALI?

By: annuviswanath | Posted Nov 05, 2010 | General | 558 Views | (Updated Nov 05, 2010 01:17 PM)

Diwali is the festival of light and joy for all but it is the other way around for some. For a friend who is much junior to me, today is a beginning of her new life as she is shifting to a rented accommodation after going through a lot of unpleasant situations at her in-laws. This Diwali she is extremely happy as she is moving to another house with her husband. Another couple who are my friends and her father/mother-in-law are sad today because their son/daughter-in-law are moving out of their house.

Another person who is 92 years old willingly decides to move into a senior citizen home today as his partner is no more and I don't know how he must be feeling today? But it is a terrible situation for his son and daughter-in-law who will be dropping him at his future residence today. It is an extremely sad day to all those who are connected to this particular senior citizen too.

As there is a death in our family and our only son has gone abroad there is absolutely no charm in this Diwali.

But I wish all the members of MS "A very happy and prosperous Diwali".
