Last evening I attended a show organised in memory of the great singer Mohammad Rafi on the occasion of his 30th death anniversary. The show called "Fir Rafi" was presented by Jeevan Vaani. The singer Shrikant Narayan presented us with a bouquet of some of the best songs of the great legend Rafi Sahab. Sarita Rajesh accompanied him in the duet songs and together they took us to a wonderful musical journey of a good three and a half hours. The music was arranged by Ajay Madan and the compere of the show was Sandip Panchavatkar who was too good. The Thaneites have been extremely lucky to enjoy the show for the second subsequent year. The famous Gadkari Rangayatan in Thane was houseful. The entire crowd were glued to their seats even when the last song was going on. The compere was narrating various anecdotes from Rafi Sahab's life and treated us with some memorable shayaris too. We left the auditorium completely satisfied but with a hope of returning next year. Finally I thank Prasad Mahadkar for organising this show in Thane.
