~ Unconditional Love ~

As kids we all have read quite a few stories. There are a few remarkable ones we always remember and love sharing. Today I am going to share one such story with you all. This story has helped me solve a situation.

Though I don’t remember the title of the story I remember the story quite well… Here comes the story…

Once upon a time there lived a king who was known for his fair flair of judgment. One day two women came to his court with a dispute. One of them carried a baby boy and the quarrel was over the baby. They both claimed to be his mother. The king thought for a while and declared that the baby would be cut into two equal halves and each woman can take their share. After this declaration the real mother was quite anxious and she said she doesn’t need the share and the other woman can keep him…

This proved that ‘Sacrificing your happiness for the happiness of the one you love, is by far, the truest type of love.’

The king immediately realized who the real mother was and thus she got the baby.

I never ever thought I would be able to link this story with a real life situation… It’s the holiday season and the kids in my locality love playing cricket. I am assured of one thing, one of these kids would surely join our Indian cricket team. They hit some great shots and unfortunately with every six there is a knock at my door and they ask for the ball… Yesterday we weren’t home and when we returned in the evening two kids came asking for the ball… I found the ball and gave it to them. They started arguing and I couldn’t stop myself from intruding. I discovered that they are fighting for the ball. Both of them assured me its ownership. I was reminded of the story and tried using it. I got a knife and told them that I will cut it into two equal parts and they both can have it. One of them started crying and stopped me from doing so. He started explaining how his brother bought it for him from the Kirana store nearby. The other boy stood calm and quite. I was able to make out what the truth is. I handed the ball to the genuine boy and felt happy that I did justice to him.

At times we come across people who display fake love, care and attention but ultimately with time we discover who loves us unconditionally. If someone loves you unconditionally, value them and if you love someone unconditionally express it so that you don’t sacrifice it.

Have a Great Day ~
